I was agreeing with the part about expecting people to be armed even if you can’t see it. It could be a weapon other than a gun, say a tazer, a knife, or an improvised weapon.
I haven’t put together the summaries yet, but I will get to them this week.
I need to rewatch RJ’s testimony.
George Zimmerman, the man whose acquittal on murder and manslaughter charges in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin set off a wave of protests across the nation, helped rescue a family from an overturned SUV four days after the verdict, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Monday.
WHAT A MONSTER!!! JUSTICE FOR TREVOR MARTIN!!!
SKITTLES HOODY ICED TEA RACISM HALF WHITE COLD BLOOD 711 TALKING POINTS AL SHARPTON JESSE LATOYA JACKSON!!!11!!!1!!!one!!!1
Prolly wouldn’t rescue no black kid! Prolly wouldn’t even aks if dey was hurt or if them niggas was dyin an all dat booshit. Racist ass cracka. Ass-cracka.
It is exhausting to try and figure out what that asexual blob of pudding is even saying. It sounds like Mushmouth from Fat Albert and the Cosby kids and looks like a cross between Precious and Weird Science’s Chet after Kelly LeBrocke Turned him into a slimy turd creature. BABADOOBABOOBABLABLA!!!
Perhaps trayvon knew about the burglaries and vandalism and went to back to be a good samaritian and check it out or is that not possible cause he’s a teenager (or black if you want to get racial) That’s what zimms was doing… He had the same right as Zimms did to stand his ground and a be “mr. neighborhood watch.”
You all seem to think that treyvon had it coming. Take all of the reasons you think zimms is not guilty and it applies to treyvon as well. So if zimms is innocent then so is Treyvon . If Treyvon is guilty of ______ then so is zimmerman. The only difference is treyvon had fists and zimms had a gun. Seeing as how someone is dead there are no innocent people in this case.
… Also, and more importantly, if you listen to her testimony (a few minutes before crying dad that you posted- BTW dad is crying not because Treyvon went back but because she testifies she thought his dad was gonna get involved and help him but he didn’t cause he didn’t know) you hear her say Zimms was pursuing HIM. She testifies that treyvon said that he lost him but as he was nearing his father’s house he caught sight of him again. (perhaps he didn’t want this looney with a gun knowing where he lives- Zimms can testify to that) Zimms was following him. and treyvon was scared that guy was gonna kill him. you could ask him but he’s dead. Just one more problem with stand your ground, quickest gun get to create the narrative with no resistance.
Smrfy, you have clearly made up your mind.
as have you and others (especially with your “dad is crying cause treyvon was at fault” post which clearly is not why he is crying.) That aside, it seams like the pro zimmerman people are claiming some kind of pride in upholding a shitty law and there is no pride in that. It’s criminal as well.
[url http://vimeo.com/63670863]The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street perfectly illustrates exactly the problem with stand your ground as “self defense.” Skip to 17:41 Or watch the whole thing. Orginal twilight zones are bad ass!
All? I’ve not seen anyone state or imply that, with the exception of Peligro’s initial post. What I do see is a lot of us ACCEPTING the jury’s finding that Zimmerman is NOT GUILTY OF MURDER. Accepting this verdict means neither that we think Trayvon “had it coming” or that we praise or even understand George Zimmerman’s actions.

One of my favorite episodes (I really hate that annoying ass kid, though). And, yes, Twilight Zone rules! My favorite show ever. I watch it almost every night.

It comes off as implied to me when people are posting “See?? see?? Trayvon went back and confronted Zimms” that’s why Zimms got to kill him penalty free

The kid serves his purpose… but agreed Twilight Zone is awesome. Rod Serling is probably the best thing to ever happen to television.
Rod Serling is probably the best thing to ever happen to television.
Nothing “probable” about it.
Best show ever.
And Rod Serling is a friggin’ GOD!
I actually used to fake being sick when I was a kid just so I could stay home and watch Twilight Zone.

I think the first episode I remember seeing (I couldn’t have been more than 4 or 5) is where this old lady is being terrorized by these little alien invaders and the whole episode I was rooting for her until i saw at the end the little alien invaders were us and she was a huge alien and then I giggled that things aren’t always what they seem and thought it was a cool trick.
I remember watching the twilight zone marathons with my dad every fourth of July looking forward for the time they would play Willoughby. Still one of my favorites.

Yeah! Fourth of July and Thanksgiving had the Channel 5 Marathons. My family had to practically use gunpoint to get me away from the TV. But the cool thing about the show is it’s really the only program that I enjoy watching and can also enjoy with my parents as well as Grandmother, my niece and nephew . . . . timeless.
A few of my personal favorites are . . .
“The Lonely”
“Nick of Time”
“It’s a Good Life”
“The Fever”
“Living Doll”
“A Pitch For the Angels”
I am not pro TM or GZ. It takes two to reach the outcome. Both are at fault IMO.
I became curious to all of this because of the manipulated media reports. I really wanted to know for myself. Therefore, I worked the evidence backwards from the body, M.E. report, the grass stains, the photos, the blood spot DNA into the 911 calls/non-emergency call into the testimony to corroborate the data.
TM had been at BG’s residence for approximately one week prior to the incident taking place. He was 17 years and 23 days old at the time of the incident. It is just past the middle of the school year when he moved from Miami to Sanford.
RJ cannot see what is happening nor has she ever set foot inside the gated community. She does not know where BG’s residence is located relative to where TM and GZ meet up and their initial argument commences. RJ said TM took a shortcut through a neighborhood on his way home. She states that TM is close to BG’s residence and then that he is behind BG’s residence, but he did not stay there. I can understand him not wanting to go home if someone is following him. Look on the map where the altercation took place and where BG’s residence is located. There is no way that TM’s dad could have heard or stopped the fight that RJ heard because it did not take place near BG’s residence. It is just a nice thought of RJ’s that his dad could have stopped the fight if he was within range of hearing it take place.
It is possible that TM and GZ both surprised each other on the sidewalk between the other residences. However, TM did not know GZ was armed nor did GZ know if TM was armed (I suspect that is why GZ did not directly confront TM when he initially started following him in the truck). If GZ feared for his life, he could have shot TM upon the initial argument commencing but prior to the screaming; however, he did not.
