Grumpy, I’m tired of repeating the same things and it seems like even you are running out of gas on this one.

I’m not implying that Martin “had it coming”. I am merely pointing out the evidence that was presented during the trial which explain why Zimmerman, under Florida law, had the “right” to shoot Martin.

The photos and video of Zimmerman bloodied were used as evidence in court and show that he didn’t simply just put a gun to Martin’s chest and pull the trigger. There was clearly an altercation and based off of eyewitness testimony, Zimmerman’s injuries (and where they were located), all signs point to him being on the receiving end of an asskicking. Whether or not you or I think someone deserves to get their ass kicked for following someone is completely irrelevant here.

Aside from the gunshot wound the only other wound found on Martin’s body was an abrasion on one of his fingers:
The autopsy also found that Martin had one small abrasion on his left ring finger below the knuckle. No other injuries were found on Martin’s body at the time of his death.

Yeah! Fourth of July and Thanksgiving had the Channel 5 Marathons. My family had to practically use gunpoint to get me away from the TV. But the cool thing about the show is it’s really the only program that I enjoy watching and can also enjoy with my parents as well as Grandmother, my niece and nephew . . . . timeless.

I am not pro TM or GZ. It takes two to reach the outcome. Both are at fault IMO.

Guy has a busted up face, busted up back of head, witness says he saw guy getting beating on by other guy, other guy had abrasion on finger (which happens when you punch someone), and yet the guy who was getting beaten on is guilty because he didn’t try to fight back…? When someone hits instinct is to hit them back not shoot them.

Zimmerman did use self defense, successfully, against the charges leveled.

I understand that, I’ve read analysis that the defense specifically did not pursue stand your ground because he would have lost under that defense. Which petty much turns the court system into a game. Yeah, that’s fair.

I’m not saying Zimmerman chose the correct course of action but for the charges levied, he had an adequate defense that obviously prevailed.

I agree but disagree. I agree his defense apparently was adequate and he prevailed but disagree with the verdict. Based on everything that has been presented I still disagree with the verdict.

But some people can’t handle differing opinions. Yeah I’m strong in my opinion but I don’t care if anyone agrees with me or not. I’ll keep arguing just to argue. It’s very clear that a majority of posters agree with the verdict. Ok, that’s fucked up, but ok, whatever. I know I’m not going to change any minds (especially with my approach) but changing minds isn’t really what it’s about.

At the end of the day I don’t care that Atom or whoever doesn’t agree with me I’m not out to change their minds. I’m out to speak my own.

Forgot to post this. Teyvon was legally entitled to stand his ground. So there by standing his ground Zimms is legally entitled to defend himself… Florida is the wild west and and no where near a civilized state. they may as well have just quick drew in the middle of the street.
