Ah, i got that one last year, i just assumed it was the standard cover, i really don’t care for that font though, i’d prefer the normal Danzig logo.

I love Smokey and the Bandit, i must have listened to East Bound and Down about 30 times in a row one night when i was drunk, i can’t get enough of it. The solo in that track is one of my favourite solos ever. I refuse to acknowledge the existence of Smokey and the Bandit II or III though.

I’ve had that “You’re turnin’ me . . . every which waaaayyy but loose!!!” song stuck in my head for like 2 weeks now. It’s one of those songs that piss me off because that is literally the ONLY line I remember.
I bought the pair of “Which Way” movies on Bluray a while back and I get really pissed and hateful toward Sondra Locke when I watch them. I mean, I watch the TV and scream at it calling for violent horrible things to happen to her because I hate her so much.
And yeah . . . the lack of “Smokey and the Bandit III” from my collection is deliberate. I will never let that piece of crap into my house or in my presence. I actually had to spend MORE money buying “Smokey and the Bandit” by itself than I would have spent buying the three of them (I refuse to use the word “trilogy” in this case) in a box set. I just don’t want it tainting anything . . .
The cover art for the original “Smokey and the Bandit” is just phenomenal. I mean, Leonardo Davinci would have probably rolled up the Mona Lisa and smoked it if he’d seen this TRUE ARTISTIC MASTERPIECE with his eyes:
But #2 is amazing too. Just look at Burt’s hat! It’s got a feather-adorned map of Florida on it, for crying out loud!
It seems the hatred for Sondra Locke is an axiomatic thing…every time I mention her to someone the hate comes pouring out…I can’t stand her,god damn…not just the Every Which Way movies but also the bad ass earlier Clint movies she was in…I just get the urge to punch her in her face…she seems to be just as abhorrent off screen as she was on it,if you know anything about her…fuck that annoying skank…

The Cult is touring for the anniversary of “Electric” and playing the album in its entirety. I’m thinking of going (I just got an ad for it this week) as I’ve never seen The Cult live and I’ve been on a bit of a non-stop Cult bender lately.

I’m a huge Clint Eastwood fan, and can’t stand Sondra Locke, but apparently he treated her pretty badly and sabotaged her career. On one hand i think “That’s terrible”, but on the other i think “Well, he must have had his reasons, maybe he hated her as much as every other person who’s ever heard her name”.
