Black Sabbath live (released around 2000)…ep with a blood insert on the cover.

Misfits 12 Hits From Hell(The MSP Sessions), (CD and Vinly, Vinyl’s easier to get than the CD)40,000+ were destroyed because Glenn didn’t like the artwork and Doyle didn’t like that Bobby Steeles’s guitars were in the mix. So they never left the wherehouse EXCEPT that a few rare advanced copies did (even though they were supposed to be sent back) and so there is a maybe a limited run of 500 or so that were given out and did not get returned. By far the nicest mixed Misfits CD EVER
Misfits Die Die My Darling Vinyl 1st pressing
Misfits Evilive Green Vinyl (limited I think to 5,000- or some ridiculously small number)
Oh, I’m going through something of a Misfits phase at the moment.
Back in 1990 I was their biggest fan. In fact, Legacy Of Brutality was the album that changed my life (musically speaking). I had a lot of their rarities, including the Spook City USA and Cough Cool singles as well as a bunch of bootlegs.
However by 1993 I was sick to death of them and sold everything I had to some record store who gave me, like, $100 for everything. Pretty lame.
I’ve see Misfits stuff like the Who Killed Marilyn single and Horror Business ep go for around $600 on ebay. 12 Hits from Hell is indeed very rare. It was, as you say, more or less ditched at the time, later resurfacing as the somewhat less appealing 3 Hits From Hell single, which a friend of mine used to have.[/reply]
I got into Glenn Danzig when I was a freshmen in Highschool when I heard “Devil’s Plaything” off of the Lucifuge album I didn’t start collecting until I was a Junior in high school though, all of my vinyls are Mint and first pressings (although i don’t have many vinyls) and they were pretty cheap, I imagine the little mom and pop store, I bought the majority of them at, didn’t know what they had.
The problem with collecting Misfits is that there is SOOOO much shit out there! There are literally Bootlegs of bootlegs. Ever hear of somone bootlegging an already bootlegged show or single? Well it happens with the Misfits!
I bought a “Horror Bussines” 7" about a month ago and just found out that it is a 3rd generation Bootleg! Ridiculous! As a Matter of fact “3 hits from Hell” has been bootlegged about 8 different times, each time(mostly) with different songs!
This place has a pretty comprehensive discogrpahy of studio releases as well as boots on both Vinyl and CD

Danzig:
Yeah…he kinda lost it with his self named band. They started out ok and some of their tracks are choice, but the bluesy howl thing in the vocal is just waaaaaaay too grating. I cringe everytime I hear it.
Personally, I always thought Danzig sounded like Slayer covering the Doors…or something.
And nowadays his output is just a parody. So bad it’s embarrassing.
[:)]
I mentioned in another thread that I met him once. This was…back in '97 I believe when the whole ‘Danzig-mania’ thing of the early 90s was more or less dead and his ego was severely dented. He was very polite - almost shy and nowhere near as musclebound or as imposing as he looks in photos. He kept staring at my hands, as I wear alot of rings and have a swallow tattooed on one of my hands. I think he thought this meant I was in a gang or something which was funny. I asked him about the ‘industrial’ influences on Blacacidevil and asked whether or not he was influenced by industrial. He replied that he didn’t mind it and had seen Neubauten a few times back in the day. He liked Godflesh and NIN but wasn’t overly familiar with Ministry - although he said had enjoyed the Jesus Built My Hotrod video.

I thought the self named band was great with Lucifuge being the the best(his bluesy howl went especialy well with the music that backed him on Lucifuge), then HTGK next best, then 4P and Danzig S/T pretty much rounding out the top 4
Black Arias are not bad either but I would certainly agree he has become something of a parody of himself from “BlackAcidEvil” forward. I think one of the songs on BlackAcidEvil is a direct rip of Stigmata. that’s the album he decided he wanted to try “industrial Rock” I guess
I Always thought of his voice as “elvis meets Jim Morrison” doing “Scary music”

I’m sure getting KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT! by that big beefy Motherfucker from the “North Side Kings” probably didn’t help his ego and contributed to his “shyness”! I’m pretty sure it’s still on Youtube

Ooh Aenima on LP… I’m jealous! It annoys me that shit heads have multiple copies and hoard them just to sell for $600 each on ebay. One guys description was “when these went out of print I bought as many as I could so I could make some big bucks one day” or similar " I also found a few copies at a garage sale for $5, now you can have it for $500"… I mean kudos for making a big profit, but grrr, what a prick lol.
I forgot i do have a Tool picture disc, 4 songs, was a promo that came with aenima I think 4 songs.
RE: manson antichrist superstar promo disc with the masking tape… I wonder how many of these there are and how many are authentic… the only reason I ask is because this was unheard of for quite some time, then all of a sudden copies were on ebay… I just wonder how many “acetate” cds they can stick a piece of masking tape too and burn the song onto.
I am not questioning the authenticity of YOUR copy, just wondering if they are all authentic how many would have been made.
Cool item nonetheless.
REGRET: I didnt get a copy of QOTSA “the fun machine…” vinyl when it was all over ebay for $40 a pop. as soon as they sold out, it was highly coveted and a month later was fetching a pretty penny…
I have a few pieces mostly from the ‘grunge’ era -
some promo 12" stuff:
Jeff Buckley @ Sin-e
Alice In Chains promo [we die young/it aint like that/killing yourself]
Pearl Jam pre-ten alive single [cassette sadly][alive/wash/i’ve got a feeling]
Screaming Trees - Something About Today 12"
etc
I do have a first run official non-boot ‘Gamma Ray’ 7" (QOTSA) which was pretty pricey last time I bothered to check for it on E-bay.
Got a few other limited things as well, the Book version of Amnesiac & the Kid A ‘picturebook’ version by Radiohead…
hell, i should go thru all my junk again, maybe E-bay is in my future
I met Glenn Danzig at a comic convention probably ten years ago, and he was very approachable and nice not so much the Evil Elvis most make him out to be. I got some comics signed, and took some pictures with him. I’ve seen the band Danzig twice once with Samhain opening, and the second time with Doyle as a guest. This second show was extremely loud, and had our friend Tommy Victor on guitar.
The first four Danzig albums are decent, the ones after that are pretty hit or miss. Blackacidevelknievel or whatever its called was about five years too late to be relevant much like Billy Idol’s Cyberpunk album.
King Diamond - No Presents for Christmas lp
AWESOME
TO THE CORE.
As for rarities, I’m not sure if this is actually a rarity, a common thing, or just some fluke, but I’ve a copy of Paradise Lost’s “Shades of God” CD (original Metal Blade version, I believe) that has a couple extra minutes of unneccesary silence on tracks four and eight. Nothing on any website I’ve seen has any information on this.
I could go digging around, but some that come to mind:
Test pressings of With Sympathy, Work For Love, All Day, Filth Pig
Acetate versions of the Burning Inside and Over The Shoulder singles
metal “mother” record (used in the pressing process) of I Wanted To Tell Her
Framed Twitch gold record
Blackouts - Men In Motion on cassette (much rarer than the 12")
Roland Barker - The Eternal Optimist and Vortexes - solo releases on cassette
Coil - Transparet Cassette
Perennial Divide - Leathernecks (Wax Trax test pressing)

Well, I know mine’s authentic because I fished it out of the trash can of the college radio station I worked at at the time.
But yeah, it’d be a really easy item to fake.
I got one of those manson promos. I remember I won it off of the weathermen records internet store back in thte 90’s, in some contest… actually what i really did to win was i talked to the guy through instant message and made a deal to spread a good message about them around the net and he’d give me a bunch of stuff…
If any of you ladies are gay for the Giger, I just came across this . . . . pretty badass.
The seller is pretty righteous as I bought something else, totally unrelated, from him which is getting framed now.

That is pretty bad ass…
I have a Bill Laswell/Tetsou Inoue Psyhconavigation cd made out of material from a NYC body bag…
Many other oddities I have collected that I will post when I have more time…
I have various test pressings and region exclusives for the first few years of Ministry. The rarest being the “Here We Go” 7" that was only released in the Philippines.
NIN-The Fragile 3LP (signed in person)
NIN-Closer To God (South Africa pressing)
NIN-The Perfect Drug (South Africa pressing)
Skinny Puppy-Tormentor cardboard mask. This guy is missing somewhere at my parent’s house, but I know it was a 1990 tour exclusive and I haven’t seen any since I bought it.
I don’t collect stuff anymore and have given much of it away. I used to (still have a lot of it) have pretty much anything and everything even sort of Dead Kennedys related (official and bootleg).
This one has always been a favorite of mine “Green Olive Vinyl with Red Pimento Center”.
I also had some cool Tumor Circus 7"'s, including the picture disc with the “Hole drilled through the record so you can only possess it and never play it”. I don’t remember if I unloaded that one or not. I also have the one with the Clive Barker etching on it.
And I gave my one-of-a-kind custom made LARD watch to Al back in Ireland.
some jazz vinyl records on an obscure record label on the west coast, some of the records fetch for well over $100 a pop, some go for around $200
Speaking of Giger and DK…I’ll always love my Giger poster in perfect condition that came with Frankenchrist…
Speaking of Giger and DK…I’ll always love my Giger poster in perfect condition that came with Frankenchrist…
Yep. I got one too, eventually.
The funny thing is that for the longest time following the removal of the poster (maybe still for all I know) there was a disclaimer on the outside of the package ABOUT the poster, so it was very easy to get tricked into buying versions without the poster.
If I recall right, I think there was also a time where the version without the poster had a little coupon thing that you could send back to Alternative Tentacles to get the poster.
If you want to find out what your records are going for check out discogs…
I got the Tumor Circus 7" with the massive hole drilled through it Pinz…it’s that what underground music is all about!!! hahaha
