Cool. Let me know how the show is. I’ve heard such wildly mixed reviews of Cult’s live performances, that I’m curious.
I’ve seen them when they were unbeatable and I’ve seen them when they were not very good…I’ve seen them about 12 times and usually they are great…saw them on a couple of occasions where they were having a bad night and it mostly seemed due to Ian being off…

That would make sense since the sexiness of The Cult’s sound (yes, the music is great and they got some badass riffs, but you can interchange any decent musician on those parts and get by okay) is totally IAN. His voice is just incredible. Take that out of the equation and you got . . . . well, I guess you got a decent Cult cover band with a crappy singer.
I’ll check the schedule. If it’s convenient and I can get a floor ticket I’ll go.

Yeah,Ian can get pissy pretty easily and it noticeably effects the band…Billy Duffy is an integral part of that sound as well…I’m going to the Ft Lauderdale gig for sure…a couple of those songs on Electric have never been played before…
Speaking of the Cult and rarities,I have all of the 12’ they put out…there are many and the artwork was always spectacular…I’ve kept them all in very good shape…and I have the Black Box 7 disc thing which is rare and massive…

Totally agreed. And he looks cool as heck rocking out with his big ass White Falcon guitar.
I didn’t mention him yet as I honestly have no idea who else besides Ian is even in the band. Hearing that Duffy is still in is a HUGE determining factor for me.

Yeah Ian and Billy are the only two constants…they have both been on every album and every tour…they have always had a Spinal Tap situation as far as drummers are concerned and since Jamie Stewart left after Sonic Temple they have had a revolving door of bass players…and since the late 90’s they have toured with a second guitar player also…Joey Tempesta who has played w Danzig,Helmet and Testament and a few other bands has been on drums for a while…not sure who the current bassist is…seems to change a great deal…
