Your thoughts? I think it might be my favorite of theirs to date. Emil clearly carried over influences from Grails which has made Om sound much more dynamic.
I like it, but it’s very '60s, which is I guess the direction they’ve been going in. Sounds like the soundtrack to the LSD scene in an old biker move.
It’s also really short. I feel like I should have paid half as much.

i too am wary of the ‘remaster’ here, simply cuz of the nature of the demos that partly ended up making bleach.

How big is big? I have a big ‘collection’ compared to friends, small compared to some of the folks on here. Probably 250-300 CD’s & CD5’s, 100 LPs maybe, probably 70-100 DVD’s (orignal + Boots) and maybe 50 VHS…
Then a shitload of “collection” MP3s or FLAC rarities etc…
As for bands… I have almost every Ministry/Revco/Side Project release on vinyl up to Animositisomina, as well as promos and that kind of stuff.
Thats my biggest “collection”. Next would be NIN (most releases up until With Teeth), I dunno what after that… probably Mawyn Man, funny eyed faggot (Marilyn Manson in Tasmanian speak). I have a few rarities hidden away… some tool promo picture disc LP… some apparently rare pink floyd stuff, have missed an opportunity to own some really rare stuff for cheap over the years… have to kick myself whenever i think of that.
Used to have a huge Black Sabbath collection on vinyl, sold it all except for the first 5-6 albums, I think I still have Live Evil too…
I got really excited to find the Cross Purposes live box set one day for like $20, got it home watched it, and realised why I dont listen to Tony Martin era sabbath (or was it one of the other guys, eh dont care).
But sold all that shit for peanuts, oh well, helped me out at the time.

I think I have around 700 cds and maybe 100 vinyl. Not huge, but in all fairness alot of it is mega pricey shit off ebay and discogs. Just spent AU$140 on Coil’s ‘Loves Secret Domain’ from a seller in Germany. And that’s the seventh or eighth expensive item I have purchased in the last month.
Small cheese in the grand scheme of things. I know a guy who spends over $1000 a week on his record collection.

It’s going terribly, but thanks for asking. I’ve been turned down over 40+ times in a row now with only 2 interviews and with the interviews I didn’t even get a “sorry we didn’t select you” note I had to call and find out what the status was. Right now I’m student teaching at my old high school (Next town over about 30 miles away) which is the last little bit until of course work before I have my special education credential. but that is a whole nother thread in itself!!!

Wha?? How do you even listen to that much music? I mean I Like collecting but realistically I try to collectonly what I can listen to in a reasonable amount of time. At a grand a week you can’t keep up… I don’t think I’ve even heard 1000 Dollars worth of music in a week
At my peak - 3 or 4 years ago - I estimated that I was spending on average around $1500 a month on records. It sounds crazy, but my family had just sold their business and I was loaded so I went a little crazy.

Anyway, I have a hell of a collection to show for it. I regret nothing.
Piece de resistance - Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ lp autographed by the whole band…yes, including Kurt - who drew a smiley face with a cigarette coming out of the mouth.
Bought it off a girl in Sydney who had hung out with them in their hotel room when they toured here. She had the pictures to prove it too in case I didn’t believe her. I still had to have the signatures verified by some company that checks that kind of shit. Results came back as “authentic”.
It’s MINT condition too. I reckon I could get $2500 for it.
Not sure how many cds I have at the moment, roughly 450-500. Probably sold off a couple of hundred over the years I no longer listened to. I have around 200 LPs, mostly 80’s Wax Trax and Nettwerk related stuff, and a small collection of tapes leftover from the days before cd’s. I still have Godflesh Streetcleaner and Pure on cassette.
A lot of my initial collection was stolen in a robbery in 1992, so some of the Wax Trax stuff I still haven’t gotten around to replacing. They didn’t steal my vinyl which was considerate of them [:)]
Probably the rarest vinyl I have is the aDuck/Philth 12" split, only 200 copies I think, and a german Last Rights with full cover artwork. Neither cEvin or Ogre have a copy of that one.
A new vinyl of LR is set to be released by Nettwerk sometime this month which should drive the prices of the old one down somewhat. Once again Lefthandshake will not be included [unsure]
