Got some good bargain finds recently…
Peter Murphy - Recall EP. Always wanted to hear this one, a lot of the sound makes me nostalgic for late 90s KMFDM for obvious reasons and makes me beg the question why the Murphy version of “Today” didn’t end up on Adios
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the version of indigo eyes that is on that cd
Wow, that is a good find! Anything Kyuss is pretty HTF. I was kicking myself when I missed the end of an ebay auction for some live set (official promo) on cassette, went for like $3 or something, the dude that bought it owns a rare record store, so of course the profit made from that was massive.

Mmmm… Kyuss
Dude, there’s this Kyuss album chilling at this record store that I constantly look at and contemplate purchasing, then shelve it for something else. I’ve been doing this for over two years now… I think I need to just fucking snag it.

Grab it Kyuss rooolz… which one is it?
Oh I should have said anything other than the main albums on CD are HTF. I think the main Kyuss albums are all still in print. All the LPs, singles etc thought usually get snagged and re-sold by rabid Queens of the Stone Age fans.

The name escapes me, but I know it has a track called something along the lines of “Supa Scooper and Mighty Scoop,” or something equally convoluted.
Must be Welcome to Sky Valley then… if it’s cheap and you want to hear QOTSA’s stoned older brother pick it up. You can pick up most Kyuss discs brand new for about $7-8USD in aus now, I presume there would be the same.
Demon Cleaner is on there, thats worth the price of admission alone.
I still love …and the circus leave town, everyone else I speak to thinks that album sucks, Hurricane, El Rodeo, One Inch Man… can’t go wrong.
Last three I snagged were:
Q-tip - Kamaal the Abstract. Decent but not mind blowing. Shouldn’t have been shelved for 8 years at any rate.
The Monks - Black Monk Time. This sounds somewhat familiar due to my being into a lot of stuff that’s very obviously influenced by what their doing yet it still is weird and unique and most definitely holds up more than four decades after it was made.
Morrissey - Southpaw Grammar. Found the remastered import only version for $5 in the cheapie bin at the Newbury Comics in Boston so I gave it a shot. Has its moments here and there but I doubt it’ll be something I go back to particularly often. But hey, $5 for something you can’t even get in my country of residence!
I haven’t purchased actual physical discs in quite some time because I am out of storage space. However, I broke down the other day and decided to work on the Skinny Puppy and NIN collections.
Purchased in a used, 13 disc lot for under $22:
remix dystemper
censor
spasmolytic
chainsaw
the singles collect
tin omen twelve inch remixes

Purchased in a used, 15 disc lot for under $45:
We’re In This Together (promo)
We’re In This Together Pt. 1
We’re In This Together Pt. 3
Closer to God (blue spine first pressing)
The Day the World Went Away (digi)
Further Down the Spiral (digi)

Broken (digi)
Head Like a Hole
Things Falling Apart

Some of the digis have damaged packaging, but the discs all cleaned up pretty nicely and play well.

That is the coolest party record around. Nothing is more fun than getting drunk and putting that record on at a rather loud volume and dancing like a looney toon.
Did you get the recent re-issue of it with the bonus tracks? There’s also been another album released with Black Monk Time called Monks The Early Year Demos…haven’t picked it up yet but will do so at some stage.
