peilligro, am surprised you can’t get into the end of life NIN tour.
oh, wait. i can’t really, either. danny lohner addition was nice, only because danny’s not a douchebag. and he’s a decent musician, who helped trent get motivated and focused on moving ahead. JUST SAYIN’.
trentmofo is probably going into little projects funded by corporate excursions. what do i know.
NIN now even bores my teenage kid. true.
i’m not bored. just not excited.
Wait, what has Danny Lohner really done in the last ten years, other than help that Trust Company band get off the ground and be a ghost member of APC? (whose followers are easily more annoying and sentimental than NINs). I like his contributions to The Fragile, but he’s been sort of a bit player, no?

Composing. Main reason why he left NIN. Trent was on his then-usual hiatus, and Danny wandered off and did the soundtrack for the Underworld movie, then the second, then the third. Then ended up doing other things. Produce bands, compose for other films, etc. He’s kept busy.
That’s also like asking if Charlie Clouser’s done anything since 2000, which is essentially the same thing. Film composer, also.
The really talented few who move on from NIN can actually do good things. Danny, Charlie, and Vrenna proving that, although, I disagree wholeheartedly with his choice to playing with a coked up old clown.
But now to see what comes from Trent now since the touring is officially over for him.
Well hopefully Vrenna will actually get paid by said coked up clown.
Wasn’t Lohner also in that band with Wes Borland - Blacklight Burns?
I remember hearing a track or two, it was ok, not terrific.

Yeah, he did keyboards/programming on it, but produced it as well. He also did Ashes Divide (Billy Howerdel - guitarist from a perfect circle’s solo project. Kinda sucks…).
Yeah, I’ve known about Clouser’s work on 24 for some time and it’s hard to argue against that being a successful gig. Good for him, I still think his remixes for NIN are really great.
Forgot about the Underworld soundtrack. Only heard the first one and considering how mediocre the movie itself is, it’s very well compiled. The Renholder stuff is okay, doesnt really grab my attention.
Think Clouser also does the Saw soundtracks. Shitty movies though. Maybe Trent will do soundtracks again.
Lohner worked with ashes devide… then with wes borland on the black light burns cd… he also did some mix work for various bands… he produced that hollywood undead cd…he worked with maynard on puscifer, though i’m not sure if he did the live shows. some other stuff too i’m sure
Danny also did Crank, I think. He’s not a touring musician anymore, but he certainly keeps himself busy.

Mike Patton did Crank 2, although Lohner cameos in that.

thanks for the pics…
damn that’s a lame pin. I mean, I don’t know what i was expecting. I figured it’d be metal, diecut, or something… not your run of the mill round stamped out pin. hope that didn’t cost more than a buck… but probably went for 5 or 10

I havent seen it yet (damn facebook getting proxied at work) but if you want a better pin than the bands provide go to a metal themed head shop/piercist/tattoo parlor (smoke dreams or off ya tree in melbourne) they usually have better stuff than the band produces. I haven’t visited such places in a few years, but they had some really good chunky metal NIN pins last time I went… usually just the NIN logo downward spiral era looking type thing though, I dont recall seeing anything newer like the Year Zero symbols.
Also years ago I got some good stuff off ebay, lost it all now though. Some Manson and Sepultura necklaces… made by bluegrape I think… gotta be careful of knock-offs though, because they sell for just as much but look shithouse.
I still have a manson watch I got like 10 years ago, had some POAFF era pic (GYG single cover I think) on the face, really heavy metal casing with a bike chain band (can still see knock-offs on Ebay Ithink, minus the bike chain band). Two days after I got it though the crappy latch undid and the face got smashed everywhere, so now it has some crap plastic bubble instead of glass. But still that watch was awesome… many a jealous goth toss tried to steal that from my drunken youthful self.
Dont think it was official merch, rock eagle or some German mob made that.

hmmm. Must of confused it with something else. I actually remember a pic with danny and maynard on set. Not sure if maynard had a cameo also though.
That IS a pretty weak pin.
If you missed out on it you could probably have one maid for about 2 bucks!

The Palladium event pin was given to people who picked up their Palladium tickets/wristbands between 1 and 5 pm. IOW, it was included with the ticket cost.
There were only 100 Echoplex event t-shirts printed. Some asshole bought 30 and put them up on e-bay for $250 each. He didn’t even stay for the show. Subsequently, the event shirts were limited to one per person for the Fonda and Wiltern shows.

What a cocksucker!
I hope nobody buys ANY of those Tshirts and that Dickhead loses a substantial amount of $$$.
at $30.00 a shirt he’d have to sell 4 in order to basically break even

Agreed! His e-bay account is now nonexistant.
Yes, $30/shirt and $65/ticket, including fees. Asshole did lose some money when he had his Fonda and Wiltern tickets revoked as a result of a couple of very diligent nin.com members and NIN staff who figured out his name, printed out and distributed photos of him taken in the line outside the Echoplex, and found his rap sheet.
How I ended up with the Echoplex shirt is one of my roommates went urban camping in the alley outside the venue in Echo Park because she wanted a spot on the rail. The rail people made a deal with one person who was with them at the front of the line to get them all shirts if they saved the shirt person a place. I figured handing over the $30 in advance was worth the risk, and it payed off.
