Sex-o Olympico

Even if the album’s bad, it can’t be worse than these circle jerk hate threads.

I think that’s because we’ve been let down consistently for the last five or six years. People here have every right to be fed up.

Personally I never cared for Revco…so I won’t even bother downloading this thing.

“I heard the new RevCo sucks.”
“No big surprise, everything Al does sucks.”
“I hate Al.”
“Yeah, he sucks.”
“RevCo sucks.”
“Why can’t it be 1989 forever?”
“I hate Al.”
etc. etc.

You forgot ‘Revco and Al are gay and they have gay sex and any children that may result from this will most definitely be gay’.

That’s not hating man, that’s just a fact

This actually is best record that all has been involved in since house of mole. The last two ministry cds had like 3-4 good song on each if that. At first i didn’t dig this thing very much but after the first three tracks its pretty damn good(other than the hookerbot remix). I love the return of the electronics. I know its not as good as previous revco releases but i’m sure its better than cocked and loaded(which i didn’t hear). Anyone have any clue on just how involved Al was on this?

It’s fuckin’ awesome, isn’t it?

Sadly, we’re all getting the feeling Al’s involvement was pretty nil, aside from the chorus in “I’m Not Gay,” MAAAYBE some vox in “Cousins,” and proably a few guitars/machine loops here and there.

Pisses me off, 'cause it really is the best Jourgensen work since HotM.

karma. josh and sin are heroes. al? looking besotted from the sidelines, my friends.

I dunno. I definitely hear musical moments that are very reminiscent of what Al’s been doing the last few years. Perhaps we won’t know for 20 years, when Josh puts out his RevCo autobiography.

(Interestingly, Lewd Ferrigno just came up on shuffle…)

oh yeah what is lewd ferrigno, is that a name or something else? what does it mean?

It’s a pun. Lou Ferrigno is an actor/bodybuilder, the original Incredible Hulk.

oh yeah, didn’t know that. now it makes sense. thanks.

Um, yeah. This album is still rockin my deck. I thought I was gonna hate it but I cant.
And from what Ive heard and read it looks like Josh and Sin pretty much wrote this whole thing.
Good for them. I have no reason to hate on those guys. It is a little disappointing that here I am, really liking this new RevCo album and Al had little to do with the creation of it.
Hey, whatever right? A good album is a good album.

Sho 'nuff. I’m glad Sin “Ram Jam on speed” Quirin actually has some kick-ass songwriting skills.

Should still be on isohunt.com. Try looking there.

It pretty funny cause I met Sin at the C U latour show I saw and told him he did a good job on the Last Sucker. I should have reserved my comment for this cd. Jk but yeah this cd is good. Some of my friends that have been pretty unimpressed but the recent Al related projects have even been liking it. Well this and the Ascension of the Watchers cd.

Likewise… Though I wonder if old RevCo will get the old Ministry treatment…

I’m guessing no, because: A) Al won’t be on all the dates and B) on the last tour the setlist was actually way more retrospective than Ministry’s.

Maybe they can talk Phildo into coming along. It’s not like Snow Black is exactly taking off…

Ok. So I finally got this album and listened to it. ICK.

Quite Trite Shite.

I can’t find a single thing about this album that is worth giving it any kind of a good review. This is quite honestly the worst thing I’ve heard in almost a decade (and that even includes when people first told me to go listen to merzbow).

Peace!

“Touch Screen.”

That’s all you need to know.

I agree Touch Screen is awesome. Cousins caught my ear because of the vocals that kind of have that post punk goth feel. I Am Not Gay and Robo Banditos are just really fun songs. Abundant Redundancy and Lewd Ferrigno are two back to back kicks in the teeth that sound awesome turned up loud. It definitely isn’t old cocks but is very good for what it is. I think what does this record best is not trying to be the old line up. Even though they have the whole crude humor thing going on its just a totally different direction it seems.

I’m not going to dig through your posts and look it up, but why do I get the feeling you’ve said something similar about every Ministry related release for the past 5 years?
