Seen any good movies lately?

oh and i’ve been watching episodes of the dick cavette show on the dvds… it’s weird how different those celebrity talk shows used to be… more relaxed, longer, they were smoking and drinking and having ya know, REAL conversations not just PR bullshit.

Kingpin

The funniest fucking movie ever

“What did I just say?”
“I think I tore my sack”

Dutch
from 1991 with ed o’niell!
very under rated movie, pretty funny. I hadn’t seen it in a long time! still funny as ever!

lebowskifest is going on tour this year… if anybody is into that movie besides me, that’s good news… a night of bowling and white russians and good music (no fucking EAGLES)

Lebowski is the best, seen it more times than any other movie except maybe Star Wars.

If no one else here is into Lebowski, they’re just nihilists, nothing to be afraid of.

Mark it zero, dude

Easily one of the best films of all time. Who doesn’t want to live like El Duderino after watching it?

I would however avoid such things like a lebowskifest; a load of nerds finishing each others sentences… no thanks.

Most everyone’s probably seen this, but what the hell it never gets old. [:)]

I sure wanted to live like El Duderino!

I love that movie!

Just getting around, finally, to see watching the godfather films. Good stuff.

The reviews from Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (what a stupid name btw…a 5 year old could do better) have come in and boy are they terrible.

Seems that you can fool some of the people some of the time…

Whatever. 300 million people will still pay through the nose to watch this trash.

lol true dat son. I saw the first one and that actor shea lebuttcrack ruines the movie with his shitty acting. btw didnt shea have his own show on the disney ch, I mean really WTF!?. Also the lame attempts to be funny at every turn severely waste the movie for me. And its sad cos a movie like Transformers could be epic if done right.

Didn’t bother with either of these films.

Just finished watching ‘The Killing Of America’ - a documentary on crime in the US from 1982.

Damn chilling stuff - especially the bits about snipers and oogly boogly serial killer types.

It says they are something like 35,000 murders in the US every year and 95,000 rapes (and this was back in 1982 so it’s probably worse now…although I don’t have any official figures to back that up.)

Godamn freaky Americans.

yeah it’s like we were a Nation founded by felons and criminals and shit!!![:P] (btw those figures usually spike when repubs are in office because you can really see Durkheim’s Anomie at work. So, Yes those #'s are probably still ridiculously higher now, based on the last 8 years.)

drag me to hell, at a matinee.
it was pure sam raimi. wasn’t scared, and loved the camp.
all’s we need from a horror movie–rated Bplus

Going to “Country Teacher” in about 10 minutes heard good things.

“Food Inc” is worth seeing if you’re interested in what you’re eating. Well done documentary, though it’s a little depressing.

the mechinist… christian bale who’s 6’1 or so lost like 40 pounds for the movie and went down to like 115-120 pounds. apparently he only ate either an apple or a can of tuna a day, and a cup of coffee. the movie has a twist ending kinda plot like the 6th sense or fight club…
strangely the next movie was batman so he bulked up… he’ll probably have body problems later in life for that extreme.

BTW anybody here watching tru-blood?

‘The Machinist’ was ok. From what I remember hearing Bale lost 60lbs for the role (mainly by eating just apples) then gained 100lbs for Batman. But he’s done the whole get skinny thing a few times. He was fairly gaunt looking for ‘Rescue Dawn’ too. Found out his next film is called ‘The Fighter’, plays the brother of boxer (who’s played by Marky Mark). Film is directed by David O’ Russel who’s infamous for his on set dramatics so expect another “Want me to fuckin trash your lights! WANT ME TO FUCKIN TRASH 'EM!”.

‘Public Enemies’ looks good. Will see it this week.

Also saw ‘The Hangover’ last night. Was funny in parts and overall was ok but certainly not as good as some make it out to be.

I watched The Machinist the other day as well.

I’ve been up late ass hell watching Heat, well half of Heat I started watching it halfway through. Its a prelude to Public Enemies (which I want to see) as theyre both about robbing banks.

Plan on watching Shawshank Redemption (agaiyn) in a minute. The Tim Robbins character pulls off some clever ninja shit which had me lauphing my ass off at the warden, who got screwed over big time.lol
