You see the GWAR doc yet, Gunnar?
No, not yet.
Is it on Amazon?
I don’t have any of the other 649 online services, so I’ve kind of just given up on trying to watch anything current. I’d really like to see the new Beavis and Butthead too, but am hoping for eventual DVD/BluRay release…if the technology still exists, haha!
I’m not 100% positive but I’m pretty sure it’s a Shudder exclusive…
New Beavis and Butthead was funny…a nice return…looking forward to the series…
Yeah Wick rules…the sound in atmos and 4K is so fucking cool.
I had never seen FREDDY GOT FINGERED but got the DVD for about 50 cents at a Mexican swap meet. Wild stuff, haha! But I was less impressed with the movie itself (which I did admittedly like) than I was with the fact that it was actually made. I mean, I think I can say this without spoiling too much of the intricate plot development but… Tom Green (playing the world’s dumbest and most annoying version of himself) in one scene grabs an elephant by the dick and jerks off a big elephant dick and then sprays his dad (played by the brilliant RIP TORN) firehose-style with elephant cum. No big deal. It’s probably not for everyone.
Daddy would you like some sausage…daddy would you like some sausages…
Freddy Got Fingered is a modern day masterpiece of trash cinema
I went to a Buck’s night recently and this film along with Bachelor Party were playing non stop all night in the living room on a massive 4k tv.
Awesome. IMO, best way to watch movies at home is bluray, giving pristine surround sound and 4k visuals. ive got the alien bluray box set. i love Alien, Aliens and Prometheus. so fun to watch.
I’ve not watched it yet, but I picked up “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” on DVD with a few others in a cheap Nicolas Cage 3-Pack. I know nothing about the movie but saw some clips on YouTube which looked completely nuts, haha! Looking forward to this one,
Bad Lieutenant Port is actually really good…it’s not as good as the original Abel Ferrara movie and is really just a sequel in name only…has nothing to do with the first one…but Port is better than it has any reason to be…
I used to be rather obsessed with Nicolas Cage and was religiously watching everything up until around 2000 or so. I just don’t keep up with movies nowadays but I still enjoy him even in the movies that are pretty shit. Watched “PIG” a few months back and thought it was a great little film.
Pig was very good…
Have you seen Mandy and/or The Colour of Space?
Mandy was the best movie of 2018.
I actually preferred Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans to the original. Werner Herzog is an international treasure.
Yeah I’m a big Herzog fan…Aguirre,Fitzcarraldo, Nosferatu etc etc the list is endless…his documentaries are great too…I still prefer the gritty nihilism of Ferrara’s original Bad Lieu…Harvey Keitel just gives one of the most stripped raw performances I’ve ever seen…but like I said before, Port of NO is very much worth checking out…
And yeah Mandy was my fave of 2018 no doubt about it…we saw in the theater on it’s first run…then quickly got the bluray…a hallucinogenic fever dream of epic proportions…I watch it every 6 months without fail…
I’ve yet to see MANDY or Colour From Out of Space, but thanks for reminding me. I’ll put those on my list for sure. Watching “Bad Lieutenant Port of Call New Orleans” now. It’s awesome. I don’t know if I’ve seen any other Werzog movies other than “GRIZZLY MAN” but I’m loving this. The style is like a cross between the sexy dark dreamy Verhoeven shit like “Basic Instinct” and the oppressive sweatiness of “True Detective” (the series - no idea who directed that).
I may have to look up some more Herzog stuff.
Oh, shit! Fairuza Balk is in this too and she is lookin’ damned good!!!
And VAL KILMER TOO!!!
Update: Just finished it. It was a fun ride. I didn’t expect it to go the way it did at the end, haha.
Here’s the funny part, though . . . . the reason I ended up getting this movie was because I saw THIS scene and, as I didn’t know what movie it was from I searched the internet for something like “Nicolas Cage drugstore freakout” or something and I ended up with this “Bad Lieutenant” movie (which has a DIFFERENT drugstore freakout scene). So NOW I have to order “Matchstick Men” to get the film I originally was looking for, hahahahaha!!!
Move Mandy to the top of your list…thank me later…
Yeah Mandy was pretty much awesome. The Colour Of Space - not so much. Decent special effects but some of the most uneven pacing, over the top acting and horrendous dialogue I have ever had to sit through.
