Yeah, I remember he and his wife were on the run for a bit there…what a nutty couple…
.Cousin Eddie is legendary…I always loved the part where he asks Clark if he wants a beer and then proceeds to give Clark the one he was drinking and cracks a fresh one for himself…classic…I remember him in one of the bad Richard Pryor films and he was so bizarre and over the top it was great…I think it was called Moving…one of theose mid/late 80s flicks that Pryor did for money…

Yeah, small subtleties like that are really what put that performance into pure excellence. I’d love to know more about those films and know how much was just improvised at the moment.
Randy is also batshit, and the more he goes on in life the more like Eddie he seems to become. he is a skilled actor though. he has EASILY the most emotional and touching scenes in Independence Day… even though that isnt saying too much…
I never saw “The Stuff”. I remember the ads for it and it just seemed too close (or at least as it was marketed) of a BLOB ripoff. I just didn’t pursue it. Maybe I’ll have to check it out.
“Mother’s Day” is awesome. I used to watch all that low-budget schlock horror/ cult stuff back in the day. Haven’t been active for years, though.
“Luther the Geek” was one of my favorites, as was “Hell Comes to Frogtown”. And “Motel Hell” is likely the best movie ever made.
Love it. I even have a small button for this one on my jacket.[/reply]
Street Trash button FTW.!!!..that movie is like a bad trip all the way through…it’s so wretchedly colorful and creative…I love watching so much creativity on a shoe string budget…funny as hell also…
i rather love that movie. between that one and ‘They Live’ RRP has proven to be my absolute favorite ring to screen wrestler/actor ever. haha.
and yeah Bait, The Stuff (as with almost all of Larry C’s stuff) actually has a great POINT under all the stire, shlock, and goop.
i like The Stuff quite a lot. and the more you think about it, the more you can believe that it was helmed by the same man behind Phone Booth. which i also loved. and of course ITS ALIVE.
i am a pretty massive horror nut, and love it from the silliest craptastic films, to the self aware self-referential ones, all the way to the most serious and devout offerings.
Oh shit I missed the mention of Motel Hell!!! I’ve seen that movie so many times…I loved the tag line: “It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent’s Friiters”…killer cult film…

Yeah, I totally agree, and that reminds me of another one that I absolutely ADORE which is “Brain Damage” about this kid who gets this worm parasite thing that injects him with an addictive and hallucinogenic chemical . . . and the worm makes the kid go on a killing binge or he won’t give him any more drugs. It’s a total bad trip and really wild and funny. The worm is really cool and hip and is named Aylmer and talks like a very distinguished Harvard gentleman. It’s an AMAZING film.
I know nothing about it. I did see Jennifer Lynch two weeks back at a Twin Peaks Festival, though. I wouldn’t even know the connection except from talking to the nerds there.

Of course, dude…I’ve owned Brain Damage on dvd for quite some time…total cult classic excellence…how about Dead Alive? or Society?
Brain Damage is the follow up to Basket Case, which I also own…my copy of Brain Damage is unrated and has a couple of gory scenes that weren’t on the rated version…
