Seen any good movies lately?

And the full frontal nude ‘outtake’ promo pics circulating of those two Disney whores were great value for money too

The only interest I have in seeing this movie lies right there.

gross.

i for one liked Gummo, i didnt find it funny as some people here seem to have, but i really got into the outside viewing inside element.

i havent seen Spring Breakers yet, but i do want to, i just get so many movies to review already, i dont usually feel like spending the money to go see one on top of that. haha. so when it comes out on dvd i will snag it up.

i am also a pretty hardcore fan of Aronofsky. i think that ‘The Wrestler’ may be my absolute favorite film of all time.

Why is it gross for a straight guy to enjoy seeing hot chicks naked?

Oops. You just accidentally called Grmpy straight.
You lose.

Woody Allen is a boring prick.

Subjective argument. I happen to love his films:

Take The Money And Run
Bananas
Love & Death
Manhattan
Broadway Danny Rose
Annie Hall
The Purple Rose Of Cairo
Crimes & Misdemeanours
September
Hannah And Her Sisters
Shadows And Fog

All brilliant. Just spent a bit a bit of money purchasing the Woody Allen career retrospective on dvd. Cost $200, but well worth it. You get practically all his films.

Most interesting thing he ever did was rape his 12 year old daughter and then marry her.

He’s a creepy pedo bastard.

Yet, the most “interesting thing he ever did was rape his 12 year old daughter”???

Bullshit anyway.

In 1991, when the relationship began, Allen was 56 and Previn around 19. Asked whether their age difference was conducive to “a healthy, equal relationship,” Allen said equality is not necessarily a requirement in a relationship and “The heart wants what it wants. There’s no logic to those things. You meet someone and you fall in love, and that’s that.” The couple married in 1997.

He’s just still mad that I didn’t dig his musical efforts. I keep negative comments to myself when it comes people’s musical offerings here on the board (unless it’s void the he gets the full brunt of whatever it is I think)
He asked me what I thought. I told him, and where we were once cool, now he’s a spurned artist.

Go ahead, check it out, look at our exchanges pre musical opinions and then look how his posts changed toward me after I gave my opinion. sad really. it wasn’t anything personal but he took it that way.

My interest in the disney chicks is two sided… #1 it awesome to see them as the wholesome disney actors and then as these “dirty sluts.” Kinda the light and dark sides of a person’s character and #2 they’re fuckin’ pretty. Who doesn’t want to see pretty people naked? especially if they’ve been portrayed as the sweet innocent types?

I mean, if she’s legal. But if that’s his daughter that’s still fucking gross. I never bothered actually googling anything about Woody Allen before and just took him marrying his daughter as common knowledge:

Even though Allen had never married Mia Farrow[106][114] and was never Previn’s legal stepfather, the relationship between Allen and Previn has often been referred to as a stepfather involved romantically with his stepdaughter[115] because she was adopted and legally Farrow’s daughter and Allen’s son’s sister. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woody_Allen#Soon-Yi_Previn

Well, fuck. I guess there isn’t really anything that gross about it. Not even legally his stepdaughter.

what?

it has nothing to do with that, i can assure you.

i said ‘gross’ here because the idea that the only reason you want to watch a movie is the chance to see young women/girls who are famous for being young/innocent/whatever naked is in fact, gross. its demeaning and gross.

also, i have always thought you can be a snippy myopic guy, but i never thought much of it until you started bloviating and chittering with atom constantly, now im just fed up reading hyper opinionated drivel backed up with nothing but insults. but i can assure you that you not liking my music has nothing to do with any comments i have ever had about you. hell, you didnt like my crossover band when i posted about them like 2-3 years ago or whenever that was, and i didnt care about that either. dont be silly man, art is art, not everyone likes it, thats kinda the point.

Yeah but your snippy posts to me didn’t show up until after the negative reviews and your snippy is never directed at atom even though as you state, its both of us. Whatever. I got no beef with you you can continue to be the angry artist towards me. It doesn’t phase me.

We can see that.

man, grow the fuck up. like i said, you have disliked my music before, and for years now. if you really wanna play the gradeschool ‘i know you better than you do because i am smarter than you’ game, then ask gunnar, i even PMed him QUITE some time ago about how you can be an annoying ass with your hyper opinionated personal attacks and whining.

i like how whenever someone has any issue with you at all, you find a way to make it about THEM instead of taking the introspective role and seeing if anything YOU did might be the root.

either way, you can think im a big touchy artist all ya want, but that has jack all to do with it.

God damn, does every thread have to devolve in to a bitchy vagina fest?..fucks sake…

Getting the thread back on topic, I rewatched “A Tale of Two Sisters” and “Perfect Blue” over the weekend. Yay surrealism.

A Tale of Two Sisters is the only film by Kim Jee Woon that i haven’t watched, i hear it’s good. I Saw The Devil is one of the most incredible films i’ve ever seen, it’s phenomenal.

*Actually, i just looked him up and i haven’t seen his first couple of films either. A Bittersweet Life, The Good The Bad and The Weird and I Saw The Devil are great films, and his new one with Arnie was great fun as well.

I Saw the Devil is a harsh but great film…I saw it when it was released and then recently saw it again on the big screen at a local art house cinema…riveting stuff…

I saw Tale of Two Sisters back when it was released…good film, from what I remember…need to re-watch…

Can you imagine if some alien came down to Earth to pose as a human and was trying to assimilate into our world but made the mistake of defining reality and morality from what he read on Prongs?

Young hot naked chicks = gross.

600 lb naked sweaty hambeasts = sexy.

Calling someone a fag = wrong.

Boning your longtime partner’s teenaged Korean import daughter when you’re 85 years old = totally acceptable.

. . .

I Saw the Devil is a harsh but great film…I saw it when it was released and then recently saw it again on the big screen at a local art house cinema…riveting stuff…

“Harsh” is a good way of describing it. I’d heard it was really vicious before i watched it, so it took me a while to get round to seeing it. It didn’t disappoint on the violence and horrific stuff, but everything else about it surprised me. Fantastic performances, some quite emotional scenes, and great action mixed with excruciating tension. I’ve seen it a few times now, because i keep recommending it to people and watching it with them, and everyone’s loved it.

They’ve definitely been shocked, but they loved it. My dad even thought it was great, and he’s not normally someone who’d go out of his way to watch a subtitled film, never mind a subtitled serial killer film.

I also recommend a brilliant Korean thriller called The Man From Nowhere, another one that everyone i’ve recommended it to has loved.
