Tom Hardy is godlike. I think he’ll do excellent in Fury Road. Whether or not the actual film itself will be any good is a different story. But having him on board gives me hope. Because that motherfucker can act.
It will be good.
It must be good.
I refuse to accept the possibility that it will be anything less than pure awesomeness.
I have been waiting for this movie for almost 30 years. It is the first movie I’ve cared about for over 10 years. I am so obsessed with it.
I’ve been on a Friday The 13th kick the past couple days. I almost hate to say this, but Part 8 is my favorite. That one had so much potential if they had a bigger budget. Part 4 is also great, as is Part 5.
It’s not something I’ve seen for the first time but I watched Drive again the other night and I still love it. The cinematography and soundtrack are beautiful and work so well together.
Watched Bronson again as well and I still fucking love that movie too.
Have you been checking out the trailers for Nicolas Winding Refn’s new film, Only God Forgives?
Stayed home sick from work and watched After Hours with my niece. That movie is so fucking weird. Totally had days that felt like that.
Totally overlooked in the Scorcese cannon…I love that movie…it’s like an acid trip you can’t get out of…Griffin Dunne is great in the lead…you really feel for the guy…great acting all around…not to mention a Cheech and Chong cameo and a scene with some punks slam dancing to Bad Brains…excellent film…
I love ANY gratuitous movie punk scenes, no matter how idiotic or exploitive. They usually consist of completely over-the-top cartoons of the scene with safety pins in their face and giant mohawks and a lot of spikes and chains . . . which is EXACTLY the way I like it to be.

Death Wish 3 has got to be one of the better Punxplotation movies. Watch the old guy teach these kids a lesson!

Oh, yeah! I remember. That’s EXACTLY the type of awesome Punxploitation awesomeness I’m talking about!
I only vaguely remember that one. My favorite episode of “21 Jumpstreet” is the one where Hanson and Penhall infiltrate a punk gang called . . . . this is too awesome . . . KKK, which stands for Kleen Kut Kids. One of the punks (it might have been the leader, I can’t remember) was named . . . hold on for more awesomeness . . . TOBER. When questioned about his name he said it was short for October which was his favorite month because it’s . . . . “the month where everything DIES!”
That episode was amazing and included the punks spray painting an Anarchy symbol on a cop car as well as Johnny Depp doing a most amazing speaker dive from a great height (suck it, Eddie Vedder!!!). I think it was his radical dive that earned him the punks’ respect and entry into the gang.
I was very close to buying “Suburbia” on Friday, but just couldn’t justify the $17 purchase. $8.99 and I’d have grabbed it.
