When did Frankie recycle the lyrics to that? Unless you’re thinking of “Tonight We Murder”
Also, since Cleo is releasing the With Sympathy demos, do they now have the rights to that album? Or are they able to get away with it since it is a limited release?[/reply]
Niether, that’s not how it works. Arista does not own those songs, they own the performances of those songs that appear on the album. Demos and live versions have nothing to do with that. Hence why bands like ministry re record their back catalog and re release “new versions” and “remixes”
Just to be clear, the songwriters always own the songs, what the label owns is those studio versions of the songs they paid for.
Here, let’s do the real test . . .
GRUMPYSMRF!!! Are you going to be buying this?
If I run into it on RSD this will be picked up … [:(]
I’m behind too, in that I haven’t picked up the 12inch re release. I saw it at Amoeba a month ago but passed in it.

Not sure about the cd covers…
But I will get this anyway, I know a couple of stores in the UK who will order it!

i wanna get this. even though it’s cleo, it’s some great content! Heck yea, count me in. so it still remains… and if i stand back and think about it - i know they will, but i anticipate they will “re-release” this a month or so after - or “dig-up” more copies shortly after.
isn’t that TV mind “remix” (unreleased) actually the one from the Stainless Steel CD single? has to be.

I dunno, Cleo’s own description reads “Jourgenson.” What other details were overlooked?
I’m going to get this, but it’s certainly over priced. Hoping the book is cool and they spell everyone’s name correctly on the product itself.
This looks great! Can’t wait!
Are people just being dryly sarcastic in their praise/defense of Cleopatra, or did I wake up in Bizzarroworld? Because as long as I’ve known Cleo they’ve always been a shit label that puts out shitty products.

I honestly can’t say if I’m being dry, but I am being sarcastic. I’m going to assume that the Jourgenson typo is a prelude to misspelled song titles on the CD cardboard slip-ma-bobs.
And the book looks more like a magazine. I still want it though, and I hate myself.
Hopefully it has a remiXXX of “Enter The Sandman” in the collection.
the question is…will Al put out a 7 cd box set of all these albums remixxxed? along with a remixxed magazine?

I was half asleep when I read that, so it actually seemed like a good idea for Al to remix Pailhead, etc. And then I remembered.
I’ll buy it if I can get it!

If Al were smart, he’d release “Enter The Sandman” as it’s own EP.

Apparently we’re in the same car.

I was actually thinking of “This Is What The Devil Does”, but they are in fact different.
Stream of “The Game Is Over”: http://noisey.vice.com/en_ca/blog/ministry-the-game-is-over-demo-premiere
As the writeup suggests, this is more of a goth song, and it doesn’t really sound like any existing Ministry album. Really interesting.
That’s a pretty sweet tune.
If you like that one, you’ll definitely like the others from that time period. Same Old Scene’s a little cheesy but good. Let’s be happy is just as good as Game Is Over. There’s no way Wait is from the same sessions. More of a 84 feel to it.
