What’s your source? I can’t find any other mention of this, such as on the Ministry Facebook page.

Gerda’s cleaning out her garage.

Look at this person’s username and info a little bit harder…

Or Angie…

However, I did see that Metallica’s No Life til Leather demo will be available…

I work in a record store and it just came in a last minute order this now RSD list.
Not related, just hiding so we don’t get in trouble for leaking it out.

Any idea on rough prices?

Almost everything for sale on Record Store Day is ludicrously expensive and sells out to speculators seconds after the stores open.

if this is true, then holy shit, this is what many of us have been waiting for

(yes I know, some could do without the stuff we already own and just want the rare and unreleased stuff. maybe we will get that as a seperate release after RSD)

SRP $179 but also factor in RSD

yep, they are going to be remastering and expanding their whole catalog, so that would be cool as all the releases come out over time

Also, I’m just passing the info. This was on one list, but not others.
I enjoyed being famous on the internet once for a RSD ltd title, but I’m excited about this, as my shop isn’t even ordering it, so I don’t have to deal with any deserving fans and their requests.

Ha, i didn’t actually know what RSD was, i just caught on when someone mentioned above it was Record Store Day. Does that mean it’s only out for that day or something? I don’t buy records, so i don’t know anything about the whole Record Store Day thing to be honest.

29 unreleased tracks (crappy demos, remixxxes, and other near-unlistenable garbage) for $175.00

How about . . . . No.

RSD is a cool idea that turned into a nightmare.
We get lists of stuff starting in January about stuff we could order and then try and decide what to bring in that will sell. I have things from 2009 still that are still here. Then once the “official list” goes out, people call and call and call about “are we getting ‘x’ stupid thing that I want” and we can only answer that yes we ordered it, but due to how things are for RSD we are guaranteed none (I order 20 of something and I get like 3). These people don’t let up. Being an indie store with a small staff, fielding these calls (and everyone calls more than once) wastes a ton of time and I’d rather sell records than talk to you, honestly. Then of course some stores start pre-listing stuff on eBay, making it hard to want to participate, as you’ve made something I’m trying to sell for $20 now $200+ on eBay and it’s just hard to go “ok, give me $20 and you go make $180 on this”. Let alone when it’s 4pm day of and I have this 7" for $10 on the desk and check on eBay it’s going for $98 right now and I look down and see 12 on the desk and wonder why someone wants to pay so much. I’ve agreed to not hold back stuff, put it online ahead of time, nor hold for customers, or mark it up a ton, as has every other store, so it just sucks to see that happening. 3 years ago I stopped looking at eBay during April. Then day of, there’s a line around the block, and I know maybe 10% of the people in line and wonder where these other 90% are during the rest of the year.
It’s a ton of work for no real reward. I have a few customers who bring in treats day of (as I can’t even have a lunchbreak that day) which is cool. I also may or may not start drinking during shift, depends, busier it is, more likely I have a bottle under my desk (although I will drink in front of you and if you’re cool, you might end up drinking too.

Sounds like a pain in the fucking arse. The drinking at work sounds fun though [:)]

I know what you mean, had a friend who worked at a record shop and was telling me how ridiculous it became over the years. I think that staff started drinking before the day began [laugh]

Thanks for the little report on RSD, Fake! I only recently started going to a real independent record store again (just looking to replace old albums from back in the day, I couldn’t care less about “collecting”).

RSD sounds kind of retarded, to be honest. Sort of the hipster flipside to Black Friday.

I do like to support the few indie stores left and prefer to buy stuff in person rather than online. Since Best Buy and Tower and such are either dead and buried or have squat for selection, I’ve enjoyed getting back to my roots. The owners are always cool and appreciate talking to people that are familiar with stuff from back when as opposed to some Johnny-come-lately who just jumped on a bandwagon.

Anyway, the behind-the-scenes peek was appreciated. Thanks.
