RSD2015 (get out your wallets)

He did it all for the cookie.

He did it all for the cookie.

Grimace miss the “old Cookie.” Grimace remember many long nights and morning, we do nothing but drink milkshake, eat Chips Ahoy, and blast Psalm 69 out windows.

Now he just call Grimace every 2 months to say “Grimace, Cookie think you should accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal saviour”. It get old.

Fred Durst told me you can take that Cookie, and stick it up your aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassss!

Grimace big fan of Limp Bizkit. Some music, it go over Grimace’s head because words are too hard. Grimace still remember burning shit at Woodstock '99 during Limp Bizkit set, with rest of McDonaldLand Crew.

waiting for the tracklist (buying this is a pipe dream, but would like to see if it goes up digitally as I’m subscribed to google play music)

I wonder if the track from 84 Al put up a few months ago was a “teaser” of sorts that he was working on this project.

Same here. I can almost bet that “Anything For You” is part of this project. It seems sort of odd that Al went into the vault just to remix and remaster that one particular song.

I agree…but that gets me worried about him perhaps doing some modern remixing on most if not all of those unreleased tracks :\

I’d rather hear the tracks in their original form, even if they needed some “cleaning up” so to speak

I’d rather have the original mixes as well. Al’s vocals are clearly redone on Anything For You, but the instrumentation is spot on, even if it was redone. If the rest of the tracks follow this suite, I’d be happy.

Sinc it’s billed as the complete WT! recordings, I wonder if CD1 and 2 are essentially the new reissue of twelve inch singles.

That’s my assumption too. That era is what I most consistently listen to, so I’ll probably attempt to get this as well. Someone else said it, but I also would hope that the tracks would be in unaltered form, but I’m happy with the “Anything For You” treatmentl

  • 101 tracks in total including 29 PREVIOUSLY
    UNRELEASED RECORDINGS!

I’m very excited to hear these. I did the math for all the previously released discs and (not including the Live LP) they add up to 101, which means these 29 tracks should all be vault material.

By my count, there are 20 unreleased Ministry songs from this period, as well as a couple demos for Halloween and a few unique demos from With Sympathy. It sounds like we’re getting everything this around and then some!

(i am hoping the “live lp” is not sourced from bootleg, that would be a funny)

The LP should be this show: http://prongs.org/ministry/5-18-82-Chicago

It was recorded via soundboard and then broadcasted on the radio. My guess is Al or somebody in the Ministry camp has the original recording.

Still can’t find anything on this online.

Track list anyone?

[reply]I almost wish that RSD was just on random unaanounced days, so that people that happened to be in the store had first dibs, as opposed to what it is.

That’s a pretty rad idea. Unexecutable in today’s era of instant dissemination of info, but cool, nonetheless.

When is this so-called Record Store Day anyway?[/reply]

April 18th, and later on in the year on Black Friday…

Ben&Jerry’s has a free ice cream day that they don’t advertise, and continuously change the date of. I think the same thing would work for Record Store day, even if people posted about it on the internet. I think it would be more fair than the current system/

There was a Marilyn Manson RSD tie-in back in January for a ten inch vinyl. Most record stores weren’t even aware of it, as I called tons of places in my state, city, neighboring states. I ended up emailing the official RSD people so they could tell me who had it. This thing was sent to rural Georgia, etc.
The closest copy to me was 60 miles away. Thankfully their sister store was in my city, and they sent it up.
Copies are on e-bay at high rates, but I do think that more fans got their hands on it, than had it been part of the 4/18 releases, mainly because NO ONE expected this, and it was just randomly announced.

Any updates/tracklisting for this?

I’ve been checking updated record store day release lists, and it hasn’t shown up yet.

It is now showing on the RSD2015 official list, as an edition of 2000 copies.

Official title is “Ministry Trax Box”

2000 seems like a huge edition for something like this. The Rio Grande Blood vinyl was limited to 3000, wasn’t it? And that sat around for years, until I bought one from 13th Planet for about $6.

The “previously unreleased” tracks are:

1-8. Same Old Madness (1982)
1-9. I’ll Do Anything For You (1984)
1-12. I See Red (1985)
1-13. Where Are You At Now? (1985)
2-5. I’m Falling (alt mix 1981)
2-6. Work For Love (demo 1982)
2-7. I Wanted To Tell Her (demo 1982)
2-8. Same Old Madness (demo 1982)
2-9. She’s Got A Cause (demo 1982)
2-10. Revenge (Piano Intro) (demo 1982)
2-11. The Game Is Over (demo 1983)
2-12. Let’s Be Happy (demo 1983)
2-13. Same Old Scene (demo 1983)
2-14. Wait (demo 1983)
7-1. Same Old Madness (Video Version) (1982)
7-2. Never Asked For Nothing (live Detroit 7.10.82)
7-3. Love Change (live Detroit 7.10.82)
7-4. What Is The Reason (live Detroit 7.10.82)
7-5. America (live Detroit 7.10.82)
7-6. Revolting Cocks: (Let’s Get) Physical (Banned original mix) (1989)
7-8. Revolting Cocks: Fish In Cold Water (1985)
7-9. Ministry: Self Annoyed
7-12. 1000 Homo DJs: Supernaut (dub mix) (1990)

I want this.

I lied, this doesn’t exist.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Yeah, that RGB vinyl was definitely over-estimated in the pressing.

I remember it was like $20-25 or something for a while, then, like you said, they slashed it to $10, then $6, then they were “bundling” them with everything else they sold.

When I went to a Scaccia memorial in June 2013, there was a raffle of a bunch of cool donated prizes to do some fundraising for Mikey’s family. 13th Planet had sent a few boxes of those RGB records. They were easier to win than stickers.
