Requiem For A Dream

[reply]Maybe we should all do a bunch of Acid and watch “Serbian Film” together.

I can see The Sun’s headline now:

SICK INTERNET MUSIC MOVIE CULT FOUND DEAD IN BIZARRE GROUP MURDER/SUICIDE[/reply]

Maybe that’s what Akbar saw coming when I told Chris Connelly that it was “time to fucking party.”

[laugh]

That movie was amazing.

Fuck Requiem for a Picnic, this is way more fucked up:

I was searching for some reviews on “Serbian Film” and found, apparently, the whole movie.

I don’t know how “complete” it is (it looks like the whole thing), and I don’t know WHY this is on YouTube. I watched the first couple minutes just to see if it seemed to be the actual movie (it appears so).

Anyway, if any of you feel the need to get a taste of this, help yourselves (no, I’m not recommending it and I won’t be doing it myself, but if you are so inclined, it’s there for ya).

Have a great day!

Don’t do it…

Don’t do it…

This reminds me of the time I was viewing a thread about what was the most fucked up thing people had seen on the internet. Most of the replies were pretty weak. Except one person brought up “3 Guys 1 Hammer” and refused to provide a link and warned everyone to not view it or seek it out. He wasn’t bragging or anything either. He genuinely didn’t want people to see it.

Others who’d seen the video chimed in and agreed that it’s horrific and shouldn’t be viewed, that it fucked them up. This all only made me more intrigued.

Someone described what takes place during the video, and although it sounded fucking horrible, being the naive idiot I was, I thought, “I’ve seen enough shit to the point that nothing can phase me anymore. I’ve been completely desensitized. I can handle that.” So, I found the video and learned that I was wrong.

Worst thing I’ve seen. It wasn’t even all the gore it was what was happening and why*. I can’t describe what made the video so disturbing because describing those details is almost as bad (and I’d just rather not).
I felt like I was going to pass out while I was watching it and when it finished I sat for like an hour feeling numb. I got pissed off that anyone had even mentioned the video but could only blame myself for seeking it out and watching it. It hit me on so many levels that I still don’t think I’ve fully processed it.

DO NOT WATCH IT I am not encouraging anybody here to seek it out. You will gain nothing by watching it. I have seen some terrible things on the internet and in real life and none of it hit quite as hard or at least on as many levels all at once. The only thing I got out of watching that video was that revenge is pointless. Because I realized that there is no way to get revenge on people like that unless you sink lower than they have. You can only stop them from doing it again.

Instead of watching the video (WHICH YOU SHOULD NOT) here’s a wiki article on the scumbags who’d committed the act (amongst many other violent, brutal acts of torture and murder): http://en.wikipedia.org/...epropetrovsk_maniacs
They’re known as the “Dnepropetrovsk maniacs”. Scary part is that what I saw apparently wasn’t even the worst of the things they’d filmed.

*[#646464] Middle aged man with a family is beaten with a hammer and tortured with a screwdriver by two guys as another guy films it all. It is 100% real and there is no reason for what they are doing other than they were supposedly “bored”. It is far worse than it sounds. [/#646464]

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.[/#ffffff]

I won’t be watching it, but . . . What country was it from? Are the perpetrators now in prison (or dead, hopefully)?

Ukraine and they are in prison.

Holy crap. I’ve only skimmed through the Wikipedia, but I’m trying to wrap my head just around the magnitude alone. In less than a month these bastards brutally tortured, killed, and filmed at least 21 murders. And they were just kids basically (19 years old). Yeah, I won’t be watching those videos. I have a real hard time processing stuff like this (no, not the actual video even, as there’s no way in Hell I’m going to watch even one second of that) but that it even existed in my universe. How people so brutal, heartless, and devoid of anything even resembling a conscience or a soul can even exist . . . it’s enough to make someone lose his/her mind.

Yeah, the pregnant woman one got to me and apparently they filmed it too. Luckily, the video was never leaked.

Just the fact that these sort of things happen and aren’t all that uncommon is hard enough to handle. But seeing it and the complete lack of remorse and the terrible details will throw you into a goddamn extensional crisis.

Oh God, yes I’ve actively avoided the “Three Men and a Hammer” video, just reading about it a while back depressed the hell out of me.

I read up on “A Serbian Film” due to it’s mention here and it reminds me of the sort of extreme shit I used to like in my teens and early 20s. Now I can’t hack that stuff and am not even into gory movies so much. When I was a kid, that sort of stuff prompted feeling in me at times when I’d get pretty apathetic. Now, I’m not really apathetic at all and it just makes me a a little queasy and sad.

i’ve read about that case before (3 guys 1 hammer). i actually found out about it through here (forget which thread). i’m not going to watch the video, though.

there are lots of fucked up videos out there. my friends went through a phase in high school where they’d try to find all the horrible footage the could possibly find. i heard (didn’t watch) half a second of that beheading video and i felt sick to my stomach. i also briefly saw footage of some extremists dousing a man with gasoline before lighting him on fire. there are also a lot of fucked up video from syria floating around. i remember someone posted a video of a man being buried alive by the army while he prays, and the soldiers mock him. there’s some sickening shit out there.

Oh, man. The videos from Syria are horrible. There were a couple of popular ones making the rounds a while back of some poor bastard who got the bottom of his face blown off reportedly by an Assad attack. In one he was obviously in shock and probably doped up because he was sitting up and looking around. In another he was screaming and crying through the hole in his face. Very disturbing.

With the technology we have videos of stuff like this are going to become more common (obviously) and in higher quality. In some ways, especially in the case of Syria, it helps to show what’s really going on in other parts of the world. People have to live through and deal with daily something I became distraught over while watching it on my computer. So, instead of hearing about it on the news and not really taking it in or reading the body count, you see a specific moment of something horrible that otherwise might not have had any impact on you.

I just watched the 3 Guys 1 Hammer vid…extremely depraved and gory…the video quality isn’t very good and I’m glad it isn’t because it does help detract from such gruesome scenery…the really disturbing part is the running dialouge and just the obvious complete lack of humanity…troubling stuff for sure…

I’m really trying to resist watching a serbian film. the more i read comments about how i should not watch it, is making me a little curious. kinda, like the mexican getting chopped up vid. that was posted here awhile back. I wish i could unsee that

i am a viciously dedicated horror fan, and am always down to watch anythign that pushes boundaries and challenges the safety net of filmmaking… but to be completely fair, "A Serbian Film’ was unwatchable. not because im not ‘hardcore’ enough, or because i couldnt stomach it, but because, like Hostel, it was an attempt to sicken.
for me, the magic of horror, and the real beauty of it, is in the attempt to redeem, not in the attempt to repulse. Hellraiser will forever be one of the greatest films ever for just that purpose. the fight through the darkness to hope for light is what gives you a movie. A Serbian Film however was just a Rob Zombie-esque attempt to pile up more rape, more pain, more depravity, and more darkness than any movie before it with NO interest in the light beyond it. the movie wasnt hopeless, it was careless.
and all of these ‘real life snuff’ clips are the same way. granted some of the videos that depict real atrocities have a journalistic value, but they have NO entertainment value.
i dont get off to watching pain and debasement. i enjoy, no, i LOVE watching hope.

Me too. I saw about 3 seconds into the vid or so. Saw one kid pick up a rock and get ready to smash the dude’s head and I just clicked that shit off. I learned early on you can’t unsee shit and that was one thing I didn’t want burned into my memory.

i heard (didn’t watch) half a second of that beheading video

If you’re talking about the nick berg video that shit was fake as fuck!! That dude had to have already been dead before they cut his head off. The dude didn’t fight, they severed his jugular and there was barely in blood. You’d think for a dude who was about to die his survival instinct would kick in and he would struggle but no. You’d think for a dude about to die his heart would be beating 200 miles an hour which would mean a TON of blood especially with the severing of a major artery like the jugular but no, and then the kicker, when they actually separated the head from the body the the camera pans away. Why? were the trying not to offend our delicate sense of violence?

Late,
grmpysmrf

Just watched 3 Guys 1 Hammer. It didn’t really phase me til the end when they were poking his face with the screw driver and the final blows with the hammer. I also had it on a low volume so I couldn’t totally hear the guy’s agony (thank God). This is gonna sound fucked up, but I was expecting worse. Still very bad.

The sound of him and the sound of their giggling and joy is what drives it home. Or at least what did it for me. Like I said, it’s not so much the gore but what’s being done to a human being… and how it just keeps getting worse.

The guy had suffered from a cancerous tumor in his throat and was just regaining his voice. He was on his bike and on his way to visit his grandson when he got attacked by those cunts out of nowhere.

Imagine going about your normal day and out of nowhere something like that happens to you and that that kind of torture will be the last moments of your life.

i don’t know if it was that one because i didn’t look at the screen. i was in the room when they played it, and all i heard was the gurgling of someone choking on their own blood or something. so i covered my ears and left the room :P. twas disgusting. why would anyone watch that?
