[reply]i’ve read about that case before (3 guys 1 hammer). i actually found out about it through here (forget which thread). i’m not going to watch the video, though.
there are lots of fucked up videos out there. my friends went through a phase in high school where they’d try to find all the horrible footage the could possibly find. i heard (didn’t watch) half a second of that beheading video and i felt sick to my stomach. i also briefly saw footage of some extremists dousing a man with gasoline before lighting him on fire. there are also a lot of fucked up video from syria floating around. i remember someone posted a video of a man being buried alive by the army while he prays, and the soldiers mock him. there’s some sickening shit out there.
Oh, man. The videos from Syria are horrible. There were a couple of popular ones making the rounds a while back of some poor bastard who got the bottom of his face blown off reportedly by an Assad attack. In one he was obviously in shock and probably doped up because he was sitting up and looking around. In another he was screaming and crying through the hole in his face. Very disturbing.
With the technology we have videos of stuff like this are going to become more common (obviously) and in higher quality. In some ways, especially in the case of Syria, it helps to show what’s really going on in other parts of the world. People have to live through and deal with daily something I became distraught over while watching it on my computer. So, instead of hearing about it on the news and not really taking it in or reading the body count, you see a specific moment of something horrible that otherwise might not have had any impact on you.[/reply]
are you talking about that high ranking sunni sheik or something? yeah, i read about that, but i didn’t see the video/pictures. i actually might look that up. i don’t mind watching if there’s a historical context (like saddam husseins hanging).
