New Nine Inch Nails coming

I got really turned off when they had their big “Bite The Hand That Feeds” song. It just sounded like an aerobics exercise song. I wanna start doing jumping jacks and windmills and jogging in place. I’m serious. Listen to that track and try not to picture Richard Simmons leading a roomful of fatties in a great round of jazzercise.

I’m going to cave in and buy the new album. I’ll do it. I’ll finally give in. I think over the years I’ve been a bit harsh on ol’ Trenty Wenty Woo Woo Woo. I mean, he’s not THAT bad. Yes, his lyrics are kinda gay and and crybaby emo and all but…still I gotta credit him for bringing Throbbing Gristle, Coil and Skinny Puppy to the dance floor.

And yes, in interviews he seems like a cool guy. And to be honest I always kinda liked the Broken and Fixed ep’s.

And…jeez, something’s gotta tide me over while I sit and wait patiently for Tool to pull their fucking fingers out of their collective assholes, stop with the wine making and hippie jam band shit and fucking RECORD SOME GODDAMN NEW MUSIC!!!

[reply][reply] but I doubt I have…self control.

Like anybody here needed this clarified.

Hey, can you please stop following me around and responding to every post I make in every thread with irrelevant responses of anger all because you are once again butthurt that I hurt your feelings somewhere else?

If you’d like me to sink to your level I will. Just continue on as you are and it shouldn’t be a problem. You seem to take your internet very seriously so it shouldn’t be difficult in breaking you down on here. But I figured I’d ask beforehand so that you have an opportunity to shut the fuck up and drop your pissy little grudge, you whiny twat.

It’s not fair to anyone else one here (or myself :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: ) because you have nothing new or interesting to say anymore. So, shut up. Nobody is laughing with you or thinks that you’re the bad ass you’re trying to come off as. You just seem like a sore loser and a lonely, bored, high strung, crybaby, who shouldn’t have access to the internet.

It’s your choice though.

Thanks![/reply]

Blah blah burp
Did you get any of that vomit on your keyboard?

I’m just hoping this album isn’t like the Slip in any way. I mean, I didn’t hate that album but it always felt more like an EP leading up to something better or made to pacify fans until the real deal came out… and then it never did.

I like what I’ve hear thus far. I didn’t care for “Copy of a” until I heard the studio version with all it’s little reverb effects and studio shite. Still don’t care for “Came Back Haunted” though. “Find My Way” live sounds like it has a lot of potential. So, that’s 3 out of 14 songs I’ve heard. Fuck, I want this shit to be out already. I preordered the deluxe edition a couple days after the announcement because I am an unashamed NIN fanboy.

Awww, nigs, you ain’t expecting anything good outta TOOL are you? I used to love TOOL. Then 10, 000 Days came out and then I saw them live. They really don’t seem to give a shit about their music anymore. Hopefully that changes. I’ll still check out their next album but I have very, very low expectations for when it comes out in 10 years.

Cool.

But “10 years” is a little optimistic, don’t ya think?

I honestly believe that by the time this damn thing FINALLY sees the light of day, robots will be driving taxis and Bieber will have re-invented grunge.

Maybe they’ll pull a MBV and take 20 years to finish it.

I’m not sure who MBV is, but . . . 20 yrs?
Sounds more like Buck Satan or Chinese Democracy . . .

My Bloody Valentine, most likely.

I think the next TOOL album will end up being more pretentious than even Chinese Democracy - An almost impossible feat.

I’m pretty sure that nobody expected it to sound like this. But I really fucking like this and I certainly can’t complain that it sounds too much like anything he’s been doing recently. Wow. Good shit.

Is anyone going to any NIN shows? I can’t believe the ticket prices I’ve seen for this tour. His wife must be a spender.

Nanny fees.

Yes. Some of the smaller venues were slightly less $ (Las Vegas vs Orlando), but still more than the 2008 and 2009 prices.

In most cases, I would blanch at such high ticket prices, but I’ve seen NIN several times, and it’s always worth the money - especially on a tour like the one he’s embarking on this fall, with all of its special effects and digital whoo-ha. Believe me, the money’s not only putting bras on Mariqueen Mandiq; that shit costs a lot of dough to truck around the US.

Agreed. I’ve seen them a number of times. From “warm up” gigs with virtually no light show that were intense and intimate, to the full blown LITS tour where I felt like I was on acid the entire time and the visuals went along so well with the music but never overshadowed the raw aspect of it being a live band.

Even if you don’t like the band or the music I do think a lot of people would really enjoy the show and have a good time. It’s a pretty impressive thing to witness even when it’s just a stripped down gig with no visuals.

It’s definitely worth the money. There’s no half-assing it with them.

I am, in 2 days.

Also can’t help but laugh in confusion at some of the fans on certain popular NIN forums bitching about the new single. They bitch when it sounds too much like the older stuff and then bitch when it doesn’t sound enough like the older stuff. Too each their own, I suppose.

I fucking dig “Everything”. Nice to hear something so different and unexpected - which is what got me into NIN. Every album’s different and I never knew what to expect but was always pleased with the results.

I have a nice bag of fungi here, considering imbibing a bit for the show. Not sure if i will, but if not for the NIN show, then i can’t think of a better occasion.

Mariqueen Mandiq ---- If that ain’t the perfect name for a drag queen tranny, I don’t know what is.
