New NIN in 2010

… Feznor?

I think trent has admitted in interviews that he intended to take industrial music and add a poppier element to it

name someone who makes music now that’s even better now that there 40 one name does pup into mind : j.g. thirlwell also has anyone noticed the lack of interesting drumming/sound design since chris left. one last thing so all of you guy’s that hate nin and i’m no fan after fragile but you guy’s did not get into broken/fixed d. spiral/further d. spiral i personally think that the 92-95 era for all those bands (ministry/kmfdm/skinnypuppy/nin) was the peak of the whole ‘industrial-rock’ thing at least on a edge chaos level they all put out there hardest material, and granted ‘hard’ may not be your thing, during this time nin broken/fixed/spiral minstry psalm 69 kmfdm angst sp last rights even fla hard wired in my opinoin these are some of the most interesting albums by these bands and most fans want to here songs from these albums when seeing these bands live even now fuck trent played tds all the way through on his last tour an album that’s over a decade old…but back to my point jim foetus kicks some serious ass and alot of those bands imitated him even ministry with land…look and sound wise jim was doing that in '83 (ministry just had wb to push them into the forefront and don’t misunderstand i love lorah) and now he’s moved on though he never got the respect he truly deserves at least now cartoon network is exposing people to his madness

Seriously.
I gave up on Destructo’s post after the second line. Try hitting the “enter” key every now and then.

Here’s is Toot’s edit of Destructo’s post…

“Trent is cool”.

I like Nine Inch Nails. Comparing it to emo is rather retarded.

Backing argument:

hey fuck you guy’s now i will never punctuate and no toot the point was i like
JIM FOETUS i bet you guy’s hated the linear notes to filth pig/darkspoon!

Those of you crying about how NIN is pop for 16 year old goths are more than 10 years too late first of all and second of all, do you even listen to the fucking music?

There is also a lot of musical and technological sophistication in Reznor’s work, and his lyrics have improved (though it was never his strong point). People could say the same about Ministry, how it’s goth metal for pierced drug addicts. Blanket statements are so easy to make, yet these artists are more complex than that.

And grmpy, you think NIN is whiney goth teen shit and yet you like ‘Pretty Hate Machine’, the whiniest most new wave pussiest album in his catalog? Ok.

I appreciate experimental music but honestly it’s nice to have experimental and rock/pop blended so seamlessly and that’s what I look to NIN for when I’m sick of endless hours of Merzbow feedback with no quality control and want something more refined and polished with the occasional melody.

I think once again the haters on here are just an example of people who grew up eschewing anything that was popular to the point that you automatically hate anything that had any real commercial success and that attitude is just boring…

Agree 100%

I’d suggest giving yr doctor another call there, Chumsky, ‘cos that Ritalin just ain’t doin’ the trick!

Glad to see I wasn’t the only one who had trouble deciphering this. What troubles me more though, is that your post was “edited,” what did you fix?
Filth Pig’s liner notes were supposed to be like that. I don’t think your post was planned like that.
Late,
grmpysmrf

Destructo if you’re going for the Filth Pig liner note style then you must use CAPS… SHOUT IT FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOPS, YA REBEL!

and no toot the point was i like
JIM FOETUS

Jim totally rules.

Good call.

I loved the DSOTS & Filth Pig linear notes…although they aren’t as cool as Jim.

Have you heard that track Jim did with the Melvins called “Mine Is No Disgrace”??? That is an absoulte hum-dinger!

[reply][reply]Gay.

You are such a moron.

[mad][/reply]

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Stop being such a sissy you little polished turd.[/reply]

I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to Voidhead for the above post…that was rather mean of me and I regret it.

I like Nine Inch Nails. Comparing it to emo is rather retarded.

Is it…

I think it’s a pretty clear cut case of Trent being a raging emo of the highest order.

Then of course this happened…

Which resulted in Trent getting a haircut that made him look waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more bad-ass!

Below is my all-time fav picture of NIN in their prime…(although it’s obvious they stole the cowboy hat look off Ministry)

My favorite pic of Trent is the one where he’s naked except for a robe.

fapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfap

To answer your question, yes.

My favorite pic of Trent is the one where he’s naked except for a robe.

Yeah that’s one of my favs too…

Alec Empire was rocking the emo industrial cut way before trent

Reznor is not an emo pussy. Emos tend to really only hate themselves inwardly. Most of those faggots like being emo just for the fuck of it anyway.

As for Reznor his anger is fueled by betrayel, addiction etc., directed outwardly at the world not at himself, thus he’s not an emo. lol

KA-PISH!!!
