…so Sin is out then as guitarist? Or is he already rhythm or whatever and Jourgensen is talking about a new lead?
They’re referring to another guitarist.
Sin is still in.
Does it really matter at this point?
I like Sin.
The album was primarily made with him and Mikey.
Since we can’t have Mikey on stage, I would like Sin to be able to perform the songs he helped create.
As for the second banana . . . no, I honestly don’t care a whole lot. They’ll find someone competent, and that’s all that really matters. Guitar players are not exactly a scarce commodity. Good guitar players are not even scarce. Excellent, virtuoso players are few and far between, but we know that no one involved is going to write the check that would be needed to make that happen. So the complacently jaded contingent such as myself will just wait for the announcement of whatever third tier generic placeholder is selected.
It’ll be something like, “Ministry selects “Derek Jones” as new guitarist.” Then I’ll have to look up Derek Jones and see that he was the guitarist for Static X or Orgy or some other band that I never listened to and hadn’t seen in Guitar World since 2001 . . . at which point I can go back to not giving a crap.
P.S. still not a chance in hell there will be another Ministry album…will be doing some side stuff though when I get my ass to LA…Mikey’s last words to me were…FBTE could not be topped …so why bother MINISTRY RECORDINGS ARE DONE !!! Carve that shit on a stone tablet![/i]
And by this he means . . . . “well, yeah, except for more remiXXX junk”.
I like Sin as well, he’s a great player and seems a nice guy.

I remember flipping around the dials some time back and seeing Sin on that horrible staged Gene Simmons show…and I was like “ewwww”…but yeah,he seemed like a nice enough fella when I met him and is a competent player…
I shit on him unfairly for a long time. Then it turned out we had a LOT in common and would get together here and there. I made my peace and properly apologized to him for being a prick. I consider him a real friend now.
I wonder what was the deal with him being on the Gene Simmons show? Did he answer a casting call or something? Did he get paid?
I’ve done some production/audio/vid work on “reality” shows before…the ones that are super staged(like the Simmons one),usually have large casting calls for people with actual speaking/acting parts…and of course they put out the word for extras…slightly curious how he ended up on that abomination…
According to court records, Mr. And Mrs. J are heading for a divorce. Al was served with a restraining order. Now we know.
That was a rather sudden change of topic. Where’s your source?
Yes, I too would like to know from where it twas you cameth by a source.

Wow!
El paso county Texas court records. Records are available online. Search for yourself. Filed on 4/28/14. This explains why Mrs. j moved to LA and was selling the ranch.
Ouch. That’ll put some strain on the sobriety.
But strangely Al mentions moving to LA as well. . ?

I remember asking him (or maybe i asked josh about it) about this at one of the shows and he said he has known gene for years and gene asked him to show up for the show, so he did.
All there is to it. and yeah whoever it was I spoke to (josh or sin) said it was completely staged

Good fuckin riddance. Maybe Barker will take him back.

They’ve been planning the move for some time now. Before Al went to rehab and before this divorce stuff. I’ve been smelling something fishy for a few weeks now as there was no cross talk between them on FB for the last month, and things would slowly come into view. First someone mentioned that the two were no longer friends on FB. Then it was pointed out that there were constant daily affirmations and such on Mrs. J’s page. A lot of “Just Let Go.” and “Forgive, move on” type of stuff. There was never any explanation attached, but speculation was in the air.
I find it sad, to be honest. They’re both weirdos but there was a synergy that seemed to work. Junkie/Alcoholic relationships are always a weird thing and when one gets clean after a thousand years of drunken/drugged out haze and stupor, there is a NEW person there. Sometimes that person is great! A new improved “that guy”, clear, responsible, caring, and fun. And sometimes it turns out that “that guy” sober is actually . . . . an asshole.
Mrs. J wasn’t just his wife. She was his mommy, his baby sitter, his manager . . . ad infinitum. I don’t know what went down, who did what, or any of that jibber jabber. But Mrs. J has always been decent and kind to me, and I’ll never say otherwise no matter how bananas I may think some of her business dealings were or other matters. Yes, I think she enjoyed having the second-hand rockstar status, but so what? She put up with a lot of crap for the so-called perks she got.
I wish her all the best. I hope she is able to pick herself back up and is more successful doing her own thing than she ever was driving the Ministry bus.
And Al . . . well, I wish him the best too. I’m skeptical. So skeptical, but I hope he perseveres. I want him to stay clean (I’m doubtful but hopeful). I want him to stay creative (I’m doubtful but hopeful). And I want him to actually enjoy something and to appreciate those around him who help him.
Time will tell . . . .
Wow, well thanks for the update.
I wish the both of them the best too. When you hear these things, the tendency is often to dwell on the negative in the situation. But it could be a good thing too. For both of them even.
I wonder if this was the impetus behind the change of mind about touring?

Who knows? Al did actually mention at one point following the album’s release that he might consider a few select special performances, but said that they would not do a tour.
I don’t care how many “absolutely, positively, no way, not a chance, ain’t gonna happens” in front of what he says. It means close to nothing to me.
