I don’t think it will be the last hurrah personally and I’m kinda glad this tour is coming nowhere near me…that money for that set list=no bueno for me…

This is part of a festival that I go to every year. I can pay the usual price and get to see Ministry so I wont feel as bad…

Amnesia Rock Fest
Quebec

When this was announced, my friend posted on Facebook: "I know people who worked it. They have no respect for the crew. Someone is gonna die there. Safety isn’t an option. It is something workers of any sort of entitled too.
I’d never go. Plus it is 4 days long this year. Festival that last that long are a disaster. Day 3 is when fights, alcohol poisoning and real drug paranoia start.
Toronto is a better idea."
My reaction: “That sounds horrible and also kind of like the ideal setting for a Ministry gig.”
I think the Amnesia lineups are mostly shit (never got into much mainstream punk or metal), but I’ll keep watching for the 2015 list…
I’ve always loved the festival. Price is great, people always seem so welcoming, and I love the atmosphere. We can camp so close and sleep off the booze if/when needed. I thought the festival was run better last year, since it’s now more corporate and not as DIY as the past. If you’re not into punk/hard core it’s probably not worth if for you.
I skipped most of the headliners: Blink 182, Weezer, Alice In Chains, Megadeth, NoFX
But last year alone I got to see: Primus, Danzig w/ Doyle, Black Flag, Misfits, Strung Out, Face To Face, Dead Kennedys, Suicidal Tendencies (who were hands down the highlight of the festival), Meshuggah, Venom, Cannibal Corpse, Cradle Of Filth, Reverend Horton Heat, Henry Rollins, Fishbone, The Casualties, The Interrupters, Between The Buried and Me, Strife, Judge, Obey The Brave, Earth Crisis, Devil’s Brigade, Rocket From The Crypt, Motley Crue
And all that for 140$. Tickets are $150 this year. So… I could spend 90$ to see Ministry or 60$ more and see 20+ other bands.
Although… your 4 day thing kinda worries me. We’ve also had really great weather the past 2 years, so we’re due for a shitfest of rain and mud.
I will probably wait and see the lineup though, cause Ministry alone wont get me there, and I’ve pretty much seen every band I want to see tons of time already…
If: Down (or any Anselmo project), Ghost, Godflesh, Rage (by some miracle), or Bile end up playing… that will help…
Ministry in Atlanta $77.34 ea.
(before fees)
I’m not going to pay that. Let me know how it is guys.
I support Al…I’ll let u guys know in May.
I got tix for the gig in Dallas, $69.69 - plus the extra $10. No other opening acts listed, show at 7pm. No other details, oh and no seating choices or other options.
I’m optimistic, though the venue is questionable. But, ultimately, I wanna see Al and it’s walking distance from my place so, come on - I gotta right? RIGHT?
Yep! Do it!
I didn’t spend $25 to see Death In June who tours every 15 years. I’m not going to spend $77 for a band that’s had more farewell tours than I’ve had sexual partners.
I finally picked mine up. Tier 1 GA. $70 each. Plus all the stupid fees.
Yeah, it’s a bit pricey, but like Gunnar said, Ministry shows are always fun.
AWESOME!!!
Hopefully you can join us for some pre-show shenanigans too. We’ll keep ya posted.

Ministry just posed on Facebook that they’ll be touring Asia in late 2015, in addition to Europe in 2016. How is Al going to survive that?
That divorce must be costing him a shit ton.

HAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! Okay, for the greatest misread post of the day . . . .
I honestly skimmed through that one and thought it said Al was touring WITH ASIA in 2015 and with EUROPE in 2016.
What? No Boston? Chicago? America? Japan?
Someone really should pull all these groups together and have a big Geography Super Jam Tour.

I’m going to form a paint-by-numbers aggro band with a name like “Dubuque” or “Decatur” simply so I can have a shot at joining in on such a tour.
Interestingly, if they’re gigging with Laibach, they will be playing with a ‘geography’ band since - as I’m sure yearsofdecay can appreciate - Laibach was the old Germanicized name of the city of Ljubljana.
They covered Europe’s “Final Countdown” too.
