When do you think the last time he was truly enthusiastic about Ministry material? He always gave me the vibe he’s always been more enthusiastic about ANYTHING non-Ministry related. Like, say, Surgical Meth Machine.

Seems like he’s still enthusiastic about the Bush era material. Isn’t that where most of his setlist comes from, even 10 years later?
The fact that Al is only playing two songs from this on tour makes me think he’s not very enthusiastic about the material.
No bands tour their new albums before they are released. The fact that they DO play two new songs gives me the impression that Ministry is excited to present their new stuff, and they’re doing this to satisfy the die-hards that hoped the new album would be released on this side of 2018.
I saw this update too. Not sure what to think about it. On one hand, Nuclear Blast has quite a bit of pull, and I don’t think they’d associate with a bad product. So that’s encouraging.
On the other hand, this leads me to believe that the album is most likely devoid of electronics and will be a speed metal fest.
NB released the SMM record. The second half of which was pretty electronic.

Agreed.
Got an update from PledgeMusic. . .
1st Quarter 2018. Nuclear Blast Records.
If this was 2007 instead of 2017, the full album probably would have leaked by now. What happened to album leaks, anyway?

More and more record companies have moved away from CD promos in favor of private streaming links for reviewers or water-marked MP3s so that “unfaithful” reviewers actually risk legal pursuit if they share their personal copies through the 'net. And [there are] fewer open torrent sites who don’t require membership.
Also, it’s a little early yet. Magazines / webzines usually receive their evaluation copies like a month or maybe two in advance of actual release.
Facebook now sez Nuclear Blast decided on March. Much further away than I was expecting tbh
Yeah, ridiculous.
I saw some bullshit promo where they were giving fans the chance to be thanked in the liner notes for like $300. Yeah, fuck off. Just make the album and I’ll buy it.
That’s highway robbery!
For a mere $299 I’ll print your name in the liner of the next dumbass album in bold type!
Think of what that’ll do for your self esteem!
I got my picture in the liner notes of a Current 93 album and it cost WAY less than that.
I just watched the video for Antifa and I just couldn’t stop laughing at the notion of Al in a ski mask…oh look it’s a nearly 60 yr old guy with fake dreadlocks and a face that looks like a metal recycling bin hiding his identity…hmmmm who could it be…funny shit…
Just to clarify, I realize the ski mask is a symbol for Antifa etc but the whole time I watched the vid I just imagined a situation where Al was trying to rob a bank or something in that get up and I was reduced to embarrassed laughter…
I’m surprised the first video for the Nuclear Blast album looks just as no-budget as any of the videos for the 13th Planet albums.
I’m trying to garner some hope and excitement for this album…but between the album title that was already used 25 years ago by Ice-T to the album art that was already used by Tackhead over 25 years ago to that ridiculous video I am lets just say uhh I am highly skeptical…here is to hoping I am wrong…
Ice Cube I meant
Not to mention there is a song called 4Chan and one called Wargasm…ugh

Oh good lord. Smh
