He quit after they finished the record.[/reply]
Probably to save Manson the trouble of firing him.

More likely they were not getting along and Vrenna was not interested in being treated poorly, having had that already in NIN. He mentioned in a recent interview that he was having some management issues which prevented him from scoring movies at the time he joined Manson, and now that has been resolved, so he’ll likely jump into that now.
It’s a real shame he left the band because this new album sounds like it’s going to be incredible and he did a great job on it with programming, keyboard, drums, etc.
[reply][reply][reply]vrenna is still in the band?!

Even though I think she’s a no talent I’d go for a donkey punch.

So, I was listening to Holy Wood the other day. And while I was listening to King Kill 33, something struck me. They ripped the baseline from Lava! That bassline’s kinda hard to miss. How I’m just noticing this is mindbogglimg.

Eh, Ministry ripped off the Melvins on that album. It’s the ciiiircle of life.
Yeah “King Kill 33” is def a rip off of “Lava” with a more simplified version of the bassline and a faster tempo. I enjoy both songs a lot, “Lava” obviously being far superior.
A lot of people are calling this the best thing since Holy Wood. Dunno about that. Guess it’s better than the last two. But it comes nowhere close to TGAOG IMO. Sounds like they’re really trying to go back to basics though. Overneath the Path of Misery is great. Much, much better than than short video version. If you like this, you could probably save your thanks for Vrenna. His influence is all over this. There’s no “suicide death metal” here. Not sure if I’d call it a punky Mechanical Animals, but I’d certainly call it punky.
Manson on guitar reminds me of Blixa Bargeld but not as cool. Musically, though, there’s some cool things going on though.
