Wow. I just saw the trailer.
Wow is right.

And for the record, I don’t give a crap what anyone says. I friggin’ LOVE “Nightbreed”. The 16 year old girl I took to see it on our first (and last) date in high school did not love it as much.
That should be my new test for chicks. If she don’t like Nightbreed then she ain’t the one.
I saw the movie first, which kinda ruined the book for me. I can definitely say I like the movie better. One thing that the movie added was Boone’s initiation into the Nightbreed. Small detail I know, but I didn’t like how he just pops out to save his girlfriend. And it just felt like I was reading more about the girlfriend at parts than about Boone. They condensed like 4 chapters about the girlfriend into about 10 minutes (correct me if I’m wrong there. I haven’t seen the movie in years). I got to the part where the cops were about to go to war with the Nightbreed and stopped reading. Not saying Clive Barker is a bad writer, but for someone who had a serious connection to the movie I was disappointed. But then again, I don’t really like to read fiction. I’m more of an autobiography guy and I’m also more of a visual guy. I do wanna read The Hellbound Heart and I’m interested in the Scarlet Gospels though.

Hellbound is a novella, and a super fast read. i cant wait for the scarlet gospels, he has said that it will be a HUUUUUUGE book. and i am hoping that is the case.
anyone here read ‘The Damnation Game’? it was his first full length novel… jesus it is brilliant.
Hmmmm. I’m thinking…it probably won’t be.
That poster was obviously printed well before our “A Serbian film” thread.

I know, I was just cracking up at the timely irony too. There needs to be an asterix or something.
I actually like it. It’s ballsy, like how exploitation movies would make ridiculous claims they’d never live up to.

Exactly what I was thinking. It’s a bit of a throwback to '70s posters and trailers.
just remember…IT’S ONLY A MOVIE…ONLY A MOVIE…only a movie…

Yeah. Keep thinking that. While you’re watching this:

looks like a gore slasher flick. I’ll pass.

Yeah, I’m not aroused. It looks like a pretty generic (though well made) remake to me.
It’s about a million times more interesting looking, though, than the ads for the new Texas Chainsaw movie.
Let me know how it is. It’s been a while since I’ve watched the first one, I might rewatch it this Halloween.
late but, i did!! and it’s clever. basically its:
the intro of the book of Evil Dead II
segued into
the entirety of Evil Dead
then,
the scene where the force hits Ash at the end of Pt 1, but rather when he gets spun around in Pt 2 into a tree…then the rest of Pt 2…
then, Army Of Darkness when the car crashes in medieval times.
it’s cool ! but not for non-fans, maybe so but it can be a little odd
Groovy.
First you wanna kiss me,then you wanna kill me…blow
“That’s just what we call ‘pillow talk’, Baby.”
Here’s another trailer.

“Listen up, you primitive screwheads!!!”
