“Yo,she-bitch…let’s go!!!”
“I’m Bad Ash. You’re Good Ash. You’re a goody little two shoes!”
klatu… veratu… nnnn cough cough
“Yeah, I said the words! Maybe I didn’t say every little sylable exactly but basically, yeah, I said 'em, okay!?”
“I’m Bad Ash. You’re Good Ash. You’re a goody little two shoes!”
Good. Bad.
I’m the one with the gun.
All this chatter was too much to bear . . .
I’m watching “Army of Darkness” now . . .
Conclusion: Worked fine as a stand alone horror film. It didn’t need the heft of the expectations that come with a thirty year franchise. The practical effects were refreshing and physically repulsive to me. (many of them were spoiled early in the trailers). I though using a female protagonist given the events that transpire in the finale unwillingly put this in the “rape and revenge” sub-sub genre which would work fine in context if she wasn’t so unlikable. A generous 3/5. A lot of craft went into this. Still counting on Raimi to someday deliver on his promises and if “Drag Me to Hell” is any indication, he’s probably still got it in him.
I was very reluctant to see it. I eventually caved and tried going into it as objective as I possibly good. It was good. Not the greatest movie ever. And it doesn’t come close to the original movies. But, I found it pretty enjoyable. Especially compared to the majority of nonsense that passes for horror/suspense these days.
Well, I hope it’s better than The Thing remake. That one went nowhere fast…
I’ve heard it’s all over the top gore with with no fright or scare at all. Don’t really care for gross out films. Pass.

What do you care for then, huh? Huh?
Oh Wendel.

I saw it today. Here’s what I posted on Facebook.
So I saw the new Evil Dead. I’m in the middle with it. It wasn’t a bad movie, or a waste of money, but it could’ve been better. I actually felt sympathy for the characters in the original, but in the new one I wanted all of them to die. Well, it would’ve been cool if Olivia survived, but that’s only because she’s hot. Also, the outside of the book wasn’t as cool as the original, and I think they fucked up on the tree scene (SPOILER ALERT!!!). The original tree scene was hot in a very sick way. In the new one it just looks like a giant turd going up inside of her. Not hot. There’s more that I didn’t like, but that would be giving away too much. Message me if you want to know.
But if you just want a gory good time, then go see it. By the way, if you’re a fan of the original movies STAY FOR THE CREDITS. I won’t spoil it, but I’m sure you know what’s gonna happen.
I also posted that they should’ve played Death’s Evil Dead in the credits. I’ll be glad to discuss more on here, and won’t really have a problem with spoilers. I don’t really wanna spoil what happens after the credits but, like I said, you know what’s coming.
this was okay. i need to give it a second watch to see how i feel about it. the characters and their confidence that everything was just dandy really irked me.
i just saw rob zombie’s latest, lords of salem, last night and i actually liked that way better.
I quite liked this one.
Just saw Evil Dead remake finally…it was good…nothing mind-blowing…pretty standard for the most part…the lack of cgi was refreshing and it definitely had some gory moments…not scary at all though…and not bad…just sort of there…
Army Of Darkness 2 is coming…
Army Of Darkness 2 is coming…

Is it really gonna take that long? I heard they were gonna do that next before the next Evil Dead.
Yeah,I read that they scrapped Evil Dead 4 and they are doing Army 2 instead and that it will be out in 2016…
