Or an armed guard could’ve fucked up and hit a bystander.
You are a moron, grumpy. You can’t stop everything. But had an armed security person been around during the school shooting he could have possibly limited the damage. The same goes if an intruder went in with a baseball bat, a chain saw, a bag of pipe bombs, chemical weapons, etc. If there is no one to stop the intruder then the intruder will not be stopped.
What the fuck is wrong with you? All of those places had armed guards! ALL OF THEM! And yet people still died. Who said anything about stopping everything? I’m for initiating stopping everything BUT I KNOW IT WILL TAKE TIME. Its better than sitting around and doing nothing or increasing the problem as you want to do. Get a clue retard.

The best thing for you to do is check yourself into a guarded padded mental institution. No one will be able to break in and hurt you and the padded walls will prevent your from hurting yourself or anyone else.[/reply]
Armed guards don’t protect shit. haven’t you been paying attention? With your level of intellect I’m surprised you haven’t shot yourself in the face yet. How have you survived this long?
Maybe if you are lucky someone will slip some weed into your cell.
I’m not a service man on shore leave, So that means I don’t smoke weed or do any other drugs for that matter.

None of this b.s. will do a thing, but any proposal could possibly prevent further actions. The pessimist in me though will always say - shit happens and that’s life. It’s terrible but that’s what it is. It didn’t take TSA’s masterful passenger screenings to prevent a possible underwear bombing…just a wonderful Swede to take action and beat the shit outta the guy.
Life is like that sometimes.
A little something more for the retard, education resistant, gun nut on the board

If only every single person over there had guns… Oh wait… they do but they keep them in their attics.
Asshat!

So, what you are saying is that we should ban alcohol?
Yeah. I don’t know how many times a lone bottleman has turned a bottle of Jack daniels on an unsuspecting crowd and killed a dozen people. The screams of “oh my god, run for your life, he’s got a Keg!!!” ringing through the mall… Wine coolers on the ladies is a brutal but quick death. Banning alcohol, that’s the smart way to go.

You guys already tried that in the 1920’s. =P
Didn’t work out so well as the Untouchables movie showed me…
Yeah. I don’t know how many times a lone bottleman has turned a bottle of Jack daniels on an unsuspecting crowd and killed a dozen people.
While killing 12 at a time may be extremely rare, drunk driving deaths are VERY common. I couldn’t find a newer graph (sorry) but here’s one from 2005 to give you an idea.
There are actually MORE people killed, typically, by drunk drivers in a year than there are by gun-homicide. MOST gun-related deaths are actually suicide (which, don’t get me wrong, is also horrible, but if someone wants to die, I’m pretty sure they’re going to figure out how to do it one way or another).
Alcohol and guns are both VERY dangerous. I’m not advocating for the abolition of either, but I know very well the potential that both have. Put them together and you have a REALLY deadly combo.
That’s because more people have cars than guns. You match the amount of cars and guns and I wonder which death rate would be more. Furthermore, guns are for one purpose. They are dsigned for killing. Cars are not designed for that. Sure they can be used like that but that is not their purpose. Finally yeah if someone wants to die or kill someone else then let them figure out a way instead of handing them an easy route.

I’m not arguing against the use of either cars or alcohol (God only knows what would happen if you tried taking THOSE from me). And I’m not explaining or debating the obvious factors for the high prevalence of incident with both.
I was just responding to your sarcastic “joke” about the lone bottleman taking out 12 innocent victims. The joke sort of fails when the reality is 1000’s of bottlemen taking out 1000’s of people.

I think those Swiss women just needed some armed guards.
Maybe we can require gun manufacturers to put breathalyzers on the trigger locks. That way, we can make sure that I’m sober and clear-minded when I decide to fill my stupid neighbor full of lead for parking his SUV in the fire lane.
Probably could do away with the temporary insanity defense due to alcohol impairment. Although, I don’t think in any of the big 5 those people were drunk… columbine Virginia tech ft hood, Aurora, and now sandyhook

In the case of mass killing shooting incidents, no. These are typically planned out and committed by a well-sober, but possibly mentally diseased or disturbed, person.
Drunken gun deaths are usually of the idiot hillbilly type, and either accidental (“Hey, Chet! Look what I can do . . . [BAM]” or rage killings stemming from an altercation that gets out of hand.
Like I’ve said before people should be VERY self-aware before getting a deadly weapon. I know the retarded stuff that I’m capable of doing when drunk and having this knowledge makes me very glad I do NOT have access to loaded weapons.
If for whatever reason I decided I needed to have a firearm in my house I’d make 10000% sure that thing was either locked up 10 times over, or (if I felt the need to have fast access to it and kept it close by) I’d honestly quit drinking altogether.

Hahaha, classic, you almost made me spray porridge out of my nose! I don’t see how anyone could say the only answer is more guns, it is fucking pure stupidity and the NRA are irresponsible, death-dealing cunts. The upper echelons of that organisation should take one of their many guns, put it in their mouths and simultaneously pull the triggers. They are heartless pieces of shit pushing an agenda based purely on profit and false ideas that you need 100 guns to be free. Seeing some of the rubbish they, and their supporters, come up with makes me sad for the future. They thrive on people’s fear, like some fucking under-the-bed monster, and they have the nerve to stick their putrid heads up every time there’s a tragedy in order to capitalise on it. They disgust me.
I’m not against people owning guns, but this blatant fear-mongering needs to stop. Nobody has any need for machine guns and grenades except the army, and even that doesn’t protect them sometimes. How many guns were at Fort Hood? How many people did those guns save? This “more guns will save us all” argument, to me, is akin to a tobacco company coming out after someone dies of lung cancer and saying “The only thing that could have saved them was more cigarettes”. It’s pathetic, but sections of the citizenry of the US seems to have been brainwashed into believing it.
Well said!
Especially the tobacco comparison.

Jesus Christ, guys. My arm is starting to cramp up from making the jerking off gesture at this thread. Give it a rest.
Perhaps the rule should simply be that pussies shouldn’t own guns.
So, I guess that dude who killed all of those children wasn’t a “pussy” in your estimation, since he owned a gun? Is their no end to your stupidness?
Try another angle mr. I-can-only-follow-orders-cause-I’ve-been-stripped-of-my-ability-to-think boy
