Apparently, there's a new Ministry album in the works

Those “leaked” covers are all kinds of [laugh] .

I really like nu-RevCo because I’m an idiot. Haven’t purchased a Ministry record since RGB. I wish Buck Satan was more country and less fake drums. I wish his “solo” stuff wasn’t Flock of Seagulls.

But hey, I’ll take what I can get, yanno?

I post in two other forums, and the response isn’t exactly positive there either. One.in particular can actually be just as brutal as we are here. I’m going to just assume that the current fan base is mostly new with a few older fans.

Back in 08, all of thosd pseudo-political lyrics probably could probably hook the kids. As manson got the teenage audience in the 90s.

i dunnno… pre-2001 manson stuff was kinda good. it had good riffs, songs had a hook and groove, and most of all, if you listen to stuff like portrait-acss-animals u can kinda hear fucktons of little things and details that are just gone missing starting from 2001 holy wood album, and the sound was good. i mean at least there was substantial amount of work put in those, just like with ministy stuff. but yea, both of 'em turned to be like a parody of themselves.

Wasn’t really referring to the quality of manson’s music. I was the “rebellious” 14 year old. The friends I had at the time, who listened to him, were also the same.age. Sure, those albums are good and held over well throughout the years. The point I was trying to make, though, was what the target age of the audience was at the peak of his career.

With Al, it was/is probably a much more.diverse fan base. But I wouldn’t be surprised if you had some 14 year old, with a slipknot shirt, saying “yeah! Fuck bush!”.

That’s ok.

I wonder if we’ll get behind the scenes videos again? It’s been a while since I saw Al gibbering away and being totally rock-n-roll. I do feel sad about how things have turned out, and do worry about his health… maybe after the loss of Scaccia he’ll take it easy and stop trying to prove how hardcore he is.
Weird thing is, I’m fairly old school (Psalm 69 onwards) but I still keep track of all the latest news. The guy was a genius. Still not actually listened to Relapse yet though. From what I did hear - well, surely it can’t get any worse right?

I actually enjoyed the first new “revco” album. The live show was fun as well.

I thought the first new RevCo album with the revolving cast was awful but paradoxically I like it anyway, and I think the first one with the Stayte guys is great would probably get a lot more love if Al had given it a new side project name.

The second one with the Stayte guys is pretty stinky…

the true MINISTRY died in 1996

the true MINISTRY died in [2003]

There, fixed that for ya!
yer gonna find a lot of love for darkside on this board and even animos… to a lesser extent.

When I was 14 I liked Billy Idol and I had a spiky hairdo.

But I was 14 back in 1987 so…the times they are a changin’.

I can’t judge your hair without a photo.
But Billy Idol RULES!!!

To be honest I would rather listen to the donkey from Shrek (loving voiced by none other than one time 1980’s comedic genius and now embarrassingly pitiless Eddie Murphy) belting out industrial tinged covers of Deep Purple songs over caliope music than be forced to sit through another aural abortion than Mr Al “Pass Me The Ketchup” Jourgenson.

I just pretend now that Ministry were killed off in a boating accident on Lake Titicaca back in 2002.

Helps to keep my mind sane.

Al needs to put this as the secret track for the new album. Have it be track 69. Seriously, it’s the new Linda Summertime.

Only

It sounds like something Der Blutharsch would put on an album with a ton of reverb to make it sound spooky.

I actually discovered the song via Boyd Rice. There was some old news clip of him DJ’ing some dirtbag dive bar with oddball records and he said this one seemed to elicit the most horrified responses. I’ll try and find the clip if it’s still on YouTube.

Found it!

Hell yeah JW you like boyd rice? I’ve got a book(s) crap they started with an R, real old, that have interviews with him throbbing g. etc. one has a pic with him in front of a car accident smiling. and, as far as my lack of punctuation just read it in the “what about us” style then my rant will make more sense.
