saw this tibit from a reliable poster over at litany:
have a friend in the Ministry family, and they confirmed a new album is being recorded. They had a first recording session in December, and they just started a second session last week.
Sad part is Mike Scaccia was there during the first session.
There was supposed to be a Relapse remix album. Guess they scrapped it.
Here’s hoping Scaccia’s contributions will be a fitting cap to his career and Al doesn’t screw 'em up with awful lyrics.
i thought he was trying to retire ever since 2004’s houses of the mole, like, every one or two years (ofc with a release of an album or two and a tour).
i just want anything that’s not fucking mindless dumb metal. it seems like he’s put no effort whatsoever (musically, lyrically or artistically) in the past few releases. it’s pretty fucking pathetic. but alas, i’m preaching to the choir.
My major problem is how rushed and uninspired the stuff it is. Relapse took a few months, I think, and it showed. He rather shit out a fast album these days instead of taking his time and putting out one with a little thought in there. If he wants to do a metal album, fine. Make an album that you actually give a shit about, and.not something to make a quick buck.
Al needs another paycheck. He better not milk off of Scaccia though. I have a feeling that he will. Just like the Christmas song that he “dedicated” to Raven, that he cashed in on.
Good call. I was hoping Revco would cover this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZN2kmaB-mxk[/reply]
The “calling all cows” voice at the beginning sounds like Les Claypool of Primus.

[reply][reply]it’s sad and funny that none of us want to see a new ministry album :P.
I think it is the fact that it has finally soaked in that LORAH Part II will never happen.[/reply]
Or Twitch Part II. Or DSOTS Part II.[/reply]
However, we have had several “sequels” to Psalm 69 and…wait for it…it was the best selling Ministry record, that’s why. Al just figures that’s what people want to hear, especially after the drop in sales for Filth Pig and Dark Side.
To me, Psalm 69 was just a catchier version of “Mind”. Al covered a lot of ground in the 80s, so we know he isn’t a once trick pony.
