- If VH1 brings back the “Bands Reunited” series would he play a one-off gig with the old With Sympathy-era band just for shits’n giggles?
number 6 is great, I would love to see that. Would probably re-do the songs to sound more like the new stuff though…
so yeah I’m up for a standard question about the backlog of old unreleased stuff… just issue limited editions of unreleased stuff with cheap art-work through 13th planet… you know at least Piss Army and here will buy up the stock.
More DVDs we want DVDs, well I do anyway… RevCo live dvd (new revco).
Ahh, jupitreas! can you ask al why the last two Australian tours have been cancelled? And tell him to get his butt down here so I can actually see them before they dis-band!!

I’ve halfway thought about how fun it would be to actually make this happen. Of course, Al takes himself way too seriously now, so there’s no way he’d ever do it. We’d need to get a pretty decent stand-in. Or a midget. That would work too.
do you mean re-release them on cd or whatever? It was released (not sure how wide-scale), I have the Too Much Soft Living full length 12"… and I know people on here have the 7" singles from that era too…
I’ve got the LP and the Mood Music 7". Anyone out there have the Headaches or Empty-handed discs? I’d love to at least get a rip of them.
It would be awsome if Groovie released a dvd of that live show there’s two clips of on youtube however…
I asked. Those are the only two full songs. The rest of the tape is poor-quality pieces of songs.
Speaking of Frankie, wasn’t he supposed to be on the new RevCo?
I’m not Mr. Go-To Guy for answers, but I’ll reply with what I’ve read (and half-assed heard – therefore, these are not official)
Why didn’t you ever employ Martin Atkins as a fulltime Ministry drummer?
They had a falling out. Apparently though, from those pictures on Martin’s MySpace, maybe they buried the hatchet over the years. Those “tribute” albums on Invisible, he didn’t ask Al for permission to use any material. It’s probably monetary, as the standard is with complaints about Martin.
Still friends with Chris Connelly?
If you post on Chris’ BBS, you can find that answer. His friendship with Paul is higher than Al’s, mostly because of comments made by Al and possibly other parties about Paul during 2003.
Still friends with Gibby Haynes? Would you work with him again? Are the Buttholes still functioning?
Ask Gibby. He supposedly had a stint in rehab sometime a year or so ago, I’d like to know too.
Does being labelled ‘industrial’ still bug you? Would you ever go down that path again and make a defiantly ‘industrial’ album?
Read any interview with him circa 2003-2004, he’ll give that answer. It references ZZ Top.
What are some of your favourite albums of all time? Do you have a top 10?
Not a direct answer, but he did actually had a Top 10 for Maxim or Stuff or whomever, of Top 10 Industrial albums. One was “Geography” by Front 242. Another was Clock DVA, and Laibach, as I recall.
From what I read (and I believe the interview is on this site) is that he was disappointed to meet Cabaret Voltaire and that the experience was, to me (loosely quoted), “disappointing”.
He sued Arista and won. I doubt he regrets it.
Ministry was dropped from Warner Brothers, or at least fulfulled contractually. That’s pretty much why “Greatest Fits” was released (and to a lesser extent, “Rantology” – go figure…full circle).
Brian Shanley. He also did stuff for “Greatest Fits” and some other Ministry material. Check the credits on liner notes.

Didn’t wempathy actually toy with this idea a while ago? He posted a thread asking who would be a good stand-in for Al were such a reunion to occur.

Did you see him on the tour where TKK opened for Ministry? Sad stuff. My theory - and this is purely conjectural - is that Frankie was far too wasted to contribute to the album and they got the Spiderbaby guy to do his parts instead. Just a hunch.

You know, I shouldn’t be so selfish. I should have said, “Where’s OUR money”. [:)]
I got a really good one this time.
…
Just what the hell WAS in the artwork for LOR&H???
frankie? he will never work with al"now i’m sober" again. they have known each other for a very long time . frankie has way too much CLASS. frankie is still friends with paul and chris and everyone else who matters.
martin atkins is a different matter. he never paid anyone for that ministry cover record.warners didn’t pursue him. very small potatoes.

I SEROUSLY thought it was an alien riding a pony.
Ah well.

Just who the hell was in the Twitch cover?

Is this in the last few years? Because they toured together in 2004. Frankie was just as drunk as Al on that tour…I’m just trying to see where you’re going with this. That is, if you’ll reply.
Outside of traditional instrumentation (guitars, bass guitars, drums, etc.), what gear has been used by Ministry circa regularly circa Mind up to the present?
What’s the primary means of MIDI sequencing and/or audio sequencing/multi-track recording?
4 years ago, Al mentioned that Scott Ian and Charlie Benante would be apart of the new Lard. That obviously never came to fruition. Any plans on doing a side project with these two in the future?
A side project was also mentioned with some of the guys from KJ. Any future plans with them?
Bad news - Al wants to do the interview on the 2nd or 3rd of August, which is when I’ll be at Wacken… Hopefully I can work something out though.
I’m not intoxicated now… hopefully my spelling’ll be decent.
Jesus.
Goddamn Al and his… life.

I think everything from Twitch up to Psalm 69 was primarily sequenced with the Fairlight CMI
