If he has any plans to play Filth Pig/Dark Side material on the upcoming tour since its the last hurrah for Ministry.
Any B-Sides & Rarities compilations you plan on releasing?
I have a few questions
#1
Just to clear up some shit on the board:
Ask him if he has made the last 3 albums for himself or if he has made them with a specific demographic in mind? I’m sure he’s heard of the Negativity on the board so that’s a round-about polite way of asking about whether he cares about what the crotchety old skoolers complain about
#2
Ask him how he feels about his Albums being leaked Whether he cares or not, now that he’s the one who’s potentally losing the bulk of the money on the deal rather than the companies he used to work for.
#3

I second this!!! Tell him grmpysmrf from the So Cal tour dates in the devils Hockey jersey (the only Mother Fucker in a NHL hockey jersey at the show) wants to hear the fall! He’ll remember!! “Tomorrow Night!” he would say!
#4
And because he is retiring Ministry I think the last song of the night should be NURSING HOME cause that’s where people go when they retire! ask him what he thinks of that shit!
#5
I’d like to know more about Twitched as well if he knew it was going to be released and if he had any “Unauthorized” dealings with it?
#6
Any possibilty that Ministry could keep making albums here and there but not tour, just stay a Studio band?
That’s all I got and any ONE of Jizzwad’s questions would be fine!
Late,
grmpysmrf
i’ve always wondered why the studio version of Cattle Grind was left on the shelf until the recent reissues. it was on you goddamned son of a bitch, so why not a studio album? i love that song.
Do you enjoy touring, these days? Or is it more of an obligation, than anything (supporting the album, actually making some money, etc.)?
If it IS an obligation, any particular reason you won’t play what the fans want to hear? Naw, that’s too contentious…
Who will be the touring drummer for the last tour?
Will the last tour consist of no opening band (you have enough material to play many hours)?
Would you be open for the fans to vote/select a certain number of songs to be played on the last tour?
Do you plan on having guest musicians join you on the last tour?
Any plans for an organized meet and greet?
Do you plan to keep touring under a different ageis (e.g. revco, buck satan) after Ministry?
Any more Lard on the horizon?
Whats the story with Psalm 69… This hermetic/mystic stuff doesn’t really emerge in other albums…Where you into Crowley at the time?
Which was your favorite tour to do?
Where you into Crowley at the time?
the whole track “golden dawn” is 100% crowley. it has him speaking even… you know, that chanting in the background. it’s in fact “the call of second aethyr”.
if ministry is inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, who do you think should be there and why?

I’ll second these tour questions, and the guy who asked what was his favorite tour to do. I am especially interested in a meet and greet.
When is the interview?
what are some of your music influences at the moment?
what happened to the idea of splitting ministry into “the ministry of fear” and the “ministry of funk” in the early day? (pre-with sympathy)
How about:
Any good as yet untold stories involving Gibby Haynes, Timothy Leary, Burroughs or any other infamous characters?
Why didn’t you ever employ Martin Atkins as a fulltime Ministry drummer?
Still friends with Chris Connelly?
Still friends with Gibby Haynes? Would you work with him again? Are the Buttholes still functioning?
What is ‘Lava’ about?
Can you sympathise with fans disenchanted with your musical persistance with the Bush ‘issues’.
Will Buck Satan be ‘straight up’ country or will it be slightly tongue in cheek, a la Ween with 12 Golden Country Greats?
How do you feel that the underground/alternative scene of the '80s differs from that of today, if at all?
Does being labelled ‘industrial’ still bug you? Would you ever go down that path again and make a defiantly ‘industrial’ album?
What are some of your favourite albums of all time? Do you have a top 10?
Anyone else you’d like to collaborate with in the future?
[:)]
Im not yet sure when the interview will happen, hopefully sometime next week…
Sorry for not answering to all of you personally, I just didnt have the time. I’ll definitely ask some of those questions, as a matter of fact now I think I have more than enough to ask him. Thanks guys!

awesome
I second the “Top ten albums” question. I wanna know where Uncle Al gets his mojo from.
Yes.
“Where’s my money?”
Your money went up Al’s median cubital 20 years ago, dude.
Here’s a few more:
-
Does Al still plan to teach college/university-level courses after he puts Ministry out to pasture?
-
Why did nothing more emerge from the Acid Horse sessions with Cabaret Voltaire back in '89? You’d think that (egos aside) Kirk, Mal, Barker, Connelly, Rieflin, and Al coulda really banged out some fantastic tunes. “No Name, No Slogan” was really quite underhwhelming considering the amount of talent involved. I’d personally love to see Al & R.H. Kirk hook up for a few post-Ministry tunes since they both still have a bone to pick with Bush and the world at large…
-
Does Al still keep in touch with Genesis P.? What does Al think of his/her work as of late (specifically, the new TG album)?
-
Did Al ever consider working with Alan Vega and/or Martin Rev after Saturn Strip?
-
Did he ever regret leaving Warner Bros? " " Arista?
-
If VH1 brings back the “Bands Reunited” series would he play a one-off gig with the old With Sympathy-era band just for shits’n giggles?
-
Any plans for the Special Affect stuff to ever see the light of day? Who owns the rights/masters to that material? Frankie?
-
Who did the cover artwork for With Sympathy? It’s very…proto-goth and 80’s at the same time! How about the photograph on the cover of the original Cold Life 12" brown sleeve? It looks like an old train station or something. Was this something Jim Nash concocted?
-
(Another sleeve artwork question) Why the hentai cover for the Work For Love 12"? Not many Americans even knew what Hentai was in '83! That seemed like a pretty edgy choice for back then.
-
Did Al ever have any association with Hunter S. Thompson (via Leary, Burroughs etc)?
Your money went up Al’s median cubital 20 years ago, dude.
At the time, it was more likely it ended up in his nasal fossa.
Al and RH Kirk doing new material? That’s so bent it’s brilliant - I’d love to hear it!
