Just to clear up some shit on the board:
Ask him if he has made the last 3 albums for himself or if he has made them with a specific demographic in mind? I’m sure he’s heard of the Negativity on the board so that’s a round-about polite way of asking about whether he cares about what the crotchety old skoolers complain about

Ask him how he feels about his Albums being leaked Whether he cares or not, now that he’s the one who’s potentally losing the bulk of the money on the deal rather than the companies he used to work for.

I second this!!! Tell him grmpysmrf from the So Cal tour dates in the devils Hockey jersey (the only Mother Fucker in a NHL hockey jersey at the show) wants to hear the fall! He’ll remember!! “Tomorrow Night!” he would say!

Any possibilty that Ministry could keep making albums here and there but not tour, just stay a Studio band?

i’ve always wondered why the studio version of Cattle Grind was left on the shelf until the recent reissues. it was on you goddamned son of a bitch, so why not a studio album? i love that song.

Do you enjoy touring, these days? Or is it more of an obligation, than anything (supporting the album, actually making some money, etc.)?

Will the last tour consist of no opening band (you have enough material to play many hours)?

  1. Does Al still plan to teach college/university-level courses after he puts Ministry out to pasture?

  2. Why did nothing more emerge from the Acid Horse sessions with Cabaret Voltaire back in '89? You’d think that (egos aside) Kirk, Mal, Barker, Connelly, Rieflin, and Al coulda really banged out some fantastic tunes. “No Name, No Slogan” was really quite underhwhelming considering the amount of talent involved. I’d personally love to see Al & R.H. Kirk hook up for a few post-Ministry tunes since they both still have a bone to pick with Bush and the world at large…

  3. Does Al still keep in touch with Genesis P.? What does Al think of his/her work as of late (specifically, the new TG album)?

  4. Did Al ever consider working with Alan Vega and/or Martin Rev after Saturn Strip?

  5. Did he ever regret leaving Warner Bros? " " Arista?

  6. If VH1 brings back the “Bands Reunited” series would he play a one-off gig with the old With Sympathy-era band just for shits’n giggles?

  7. Any plans for the Special Affect stuff to ever see the light of day? Who owns the rights/masters to that material? Frankie?

  8. Who did the cover artwork for With Sympathy? It’s very…proto-goth and 80’s at the same time! How about the photograph on the cover of the original Cold Life 12" brown sleeve? It looks like an old train station or something. Was this something Jim Nash concocted?

  9. (Another sleeve artwork question) Why the hentai cover for the Work For Love 12"? Not many Americans even knew what Hentai was in '83! That seemed like a pretty edgy choice for back then.

  10. Did Al ever have any association with Hunter S. Thompson (via Leary, Burroughs etc)?
