Anything you wanna ask Al?

Just what the hell WAS in the artwork for LOR&H???

I’m really proud for finding this several years ago, and I really haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere else. I sent a message to bisquit (I think) about it, but it was long before I was actually registered here.

The cover is actually a screenshot pulled directly from the original Faces of Death. And yes, it’s the head of a corpse lying on the ground. The picture inside is also from Faces of Death; it’s bodies lined up at a Nazi concentration camp.

yeah; it’s kinda explains whole “land of rape and honey” thing with “sig heil” samples.

again, if ministry is inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, who should be there and why?

Tough questions are the best; fuck all that obvious bullshit. Here goes:

Why is the era from ‘Filth Pig’ --> ‘Dark Side of the Spoon’ --> ‘Animositisomina’ completely discounted in recent tours?

Do you feel that your Bush trilogy will lose relevance over time as the current administration is gradually forgotten in the public conscious?

The tour with Skinny Puppy never materialized due to both bands wanting to headline. Is there a possibility of the tour for ‘The Last Sucker’ being a co-headliner with Puppy?

Why did you decide to include guest vocals on the last ever original Ministry song?

You’ve claimed that Paul Barker was “just a fucking bassist” in recent interviews. Does this imply he did not contribute programming or other instruments to Ministry recordings?

Mike Scaccia is a longtime member of the band, but has only recently appeared with you in interviews. Is he a major songwriter for the group or more of a hired gun?

The B-Side “Happy Dust” is in an entirely different vein than anything you have done in before or since. Was this song an example of the scrapped “ambient” album that was in the works prior to the release of ‘Dark Side of the Spoon’?

Do you have any relationship or contact with Genesis P. Orridge? Have you heard the new Throbbing Gristle album ‘Part Two: The Endless Not’? If so, what are your thoughts? Is Industrial music a dead genre or do you feel there is room for experimentation?

What kind of music do you listen to on a regular basis? Do you ever listen to any of your own records? If so, which ones and why?

What do you feel is Ministry’s greatest achievement as a band? What is your best record as a band? If you were to be inducted into the rock 'n roll Hall of Fame, who would appear with you and why?

How do you feel about the state of popular music? The record industry? mp3 downloads? What is the future of music? Do you feel that, had Ministry started today, you could have had as enduring and successful a career as you’ve had?

You know the drill, I’m doing an interview with Al for the magazine I work for, anything you guys want me to ask him?

Obviously most of the interview I will plan myself but I’ll be happy to ask as many of your questions as I can…

Did this interview ever happen??

And will you tread carefully around the controversy surrounding fans opinions of the trilogy albums - or will you just come right out and say it??

Due to schedule problems it didnt happen and probably wont happen in the near future… Basically, I had to do Wacken at the time the interview was supposed to happen.

Sorry about all of this, I was also looking forward to a nice interview. Ill keep you guys posted if the possibility of interviewing him comes up again.

Has anyone done any ints with al for this album? Are the Metal mags into the new ministry?

coincidentally, i just checked out the new kerrang while on my way back from work (night shifts, yikes!!). they seem to dig the new album a lot, there was some stuff about it being a precise musical attack on the government or something… right next to that statement was a little frame with Chuck Billy (out of all people) claiming he loves the band. this is the UK kerrang btw (actually, is there even a US version of that mag?).

Not sure about the US. But there is an Australian version of Kerrang. It’s ok sometimes. Actually I haven’t seen it around for a while… but then again I haven’t checked out the metal mag stand for a while either.
Doesn’t particulary surprise me Kerrang like it… compared to the crap they sometimes review it is a masterpiece.

I suppose sometimes we need to think of ministry without the back catalogue… from a new fan perspective.

Back to Kerrang, I do have some great issues and great interviews in some kerrangs. I have an issue that Marilyn Manson edited, thats ones pretty good.
Ooh, I do remember now an interview with Phil Anselmo bagging kerrang for making up stuff… so there could be a US one… maybe he was also referring to the UK one.

ask al how his longtime german girlfriend sabina is doing.she was connected to neubaten. she 's a painter.
she was around for all the euro tours and was a nice person. hard to find on the road. kept it all friendly.
