99% single

Fuck Ministry.

Listen to Merzbow instead.

It’s what I’ve been saying all along.

Go for something COMPLETELY anti everything else. Something that really WILL freak out “the norm”".

Stop pussyfooting around. Grow some balls and listen to something pure.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

If I were still 16 I’d be right there with you, Holmes. But . . . . I’m 38 now. I’d rather listen to something that’s actually enjoyable and listenable instead of looking for something to make me radical and freak out my parents.

If listening to something requires growing balls it really ain’t worth my effort anymore.

I thought the sample for 99% was crap but it was really short. If a longer freebie becomes available somewhere I’ll give it a chance. I’m also curious about giving Khyber Pass a re-listen after hearing Jordan’s review. RGB is probably my least favorite album of ALL and I’ve only listened to it once or twice . . . . this gives me a reason to give it another spin after 6 years.

I remember a lot of peeps liking k pass. that was one the stand out song to all of the naysayers when rgb came out.

The answer is simple:

Fuck Ministry.

Listen to Merzbow instead.

It’s what I’ve been saying all along.

Go for something COMPLETELY anti everything else. Something that really WILL freak out “the norm”".

Stop pussyfooting around. Grow some balls and listen to something pure.

I don’t think that is the answer. Listen to Merzbow AND at the same time pretend that Ministry broke up when Paul left.

Works for me.

If I were still 16 I’d be right there with you, Holmes. But . . . . I’m 38 now. I’d rather listen to something that’s actually enjoyable and listenable instead of looking for something to make me radical and freak out my parents.

I feel that, sir! I’ve long moved on from the need to listen to extreme stuff just for some sort of underground coolness factor. Fuck that. I’ve got a Neil Diamond playlist on my iPod and I’m not afraid to use it.

Also, Khyber Pass is awesome - probably the best song on RGB (particularly if you can ignore the already hopelessly outdated lyrics).

Won’t pay $.99 for 99%. I’ll just wait a couple of months and get the full length.

Hey, if Bush could have lied about not knowing where bin Laden was in 2006, Obama could have lied about him being dead in 2011.

Hellz yeah!!

I’ll take Neil diamond over Tom Jones any day!!!

I like 'em both.
But I definitely prefer Tom.

That’s not unusual…

Neil Diamond was handsome when he was young.

VERY handsome.

I spent the buck…somewhat different then the bush years. It’s okay on the first listen.

Honestly isn’t as terrible as I went in thinking despite everything working against it, namely the trite subject matter. Jordan’s right about the Killing Joke vibe. I hear it all over the flanged intro, bar chords and even the anthemic chorus isn’t below what Killing Joke has done.

Still doesn’t get me too excited for the album but I’m not crossing it off my list just yet

Better than the recent work. Pretty good actually. The vocals however are the same boring shit.

Picked up on the KJ vibe. Was afraid to say though, heh. Guitar isn’t bad. The drums are still shitty, and his vocals seems to have taken a bit of a downturn. I’m sure there will at least be a decent song or two in there somewhere though. Always is.

Hey, if Bush could have lied about not knowing where bin Laden was in 2006, Obama could have lied about him being dead in 2011.

You are aware that al-Qaeda vowed vengeance against America for killing bin-Laden days later in the news, right?

Yeah but that means nothing… Those guys can’t do shit with out their leader and seeing how the leader is dead… What are they gonna do?
All talk. I ain’t Skeered.

Funny that now that all forces are gone NOW they vow vengeance… sounds a bit like the black knight from the holy grail.

No, what that’s means is, they will probably have replaced him with a vengeful psychopath who could end up much worse than he was. That’s what i’m taking into consideration.

Man, there’s a reason Al used to get Chris to write all his lyrics.

Music’s OK but not spectacular. Kinda reminds me of the Animositisomina material, actually.

typical nu-ministry

vocals sound even more like burton c bell
chorus guitar sounded totally like dino on some FF songs of digimortal
drums are lame as always

there is NOTHING animositisomina-ish in this track

boring

edit: PS thanks very much for the link by the way!

i like the topic…the lyrics are just so fucking horrible.

and the music is more rock than ever :P. boring.
