I’m guessing there might be another remix CD. I’m hoping some DVD’s and unreleased stuff might start making it’s way to the fans in a few years or so. I’d really like a proper ICYDFLSU DVD (even though Grumpy’s LD rip was great for the meantime), and I would buy a DVD of the CU Latour if that came out. Does anyone know if there is any cache of rare or unreleased stuff that might surface when Al needs more money?
As Far as I know and what has been said on this board Warner Bros. owns the majority of the stuff that we would want to see released… So to the best of my knowledge we are going to have to wait and hope that WB cashes in on Al’s “retirement” by releasing all the demos and rarities that we want to hear.

got that right, senor grump.
at this point, warners may not even care. too much shift in the way to make money in the business anymore.they can sit on that collection a long time to re-release–who knows.
most likely a dvd… and it’s probably gonna be an uphill battle to get more to come out… anything released will probably break even at best, and the more work put into it the greater risk of running in the red… and the labels aren’t exactly rolling in the G’s at the moment
They’ve already announced a TLS remix cd. Josh Bradford said he was editing RevCo/Ministry live footage for a dvd.
milk that cow. anybody surprised?
didn’t think so. maybe THIS will definitively be the best thing big al’s ever done.
i recall a warner’s promo wherein al and paul are doing a fake anti-drug ad for the mind. “this is your brain…etc”. hilarious.
THAT was the best thing al’s ever done.
someone writes to Warner about Ministry…Who’s Ministry?[tongue]
i know somebody who did a lot of work with chris isaak and isaak apparently had key card #1 to the building in LA as an artist. that stuff doesn’t happen anymore. different business, different model–WAIT.
remake/ remodel anyone?
the tube has the best roxy videos and i’m too old and retarded to link.but wow, with eno and all.
To answer the thread title - new album, 2010. He’ll have some cockamamy excuse for coming back.
To special ed, Roxy Music, love that band.
Siren = great album, best of their 70s material
Avalon > all previous Roxy albums
Ferry’s ‘Boy’s and Girls’ > ALL Roxy albums
I think you can tell when I grew up.

I’d LOVE a live Fornicatour DVD.
Not gonna happen, though.
I would like a Live DSOTS/Filth Pig Mash-up DVD. That would Be HOT!

Can we get Clint Ruin and Roli Mossiman to remix The Nature Of Love, so it sounds like Death Rape 2000?

Hmmm… Good idea… An all AL spoken word thing.
I’m sure he’s just got journals of poetry and lengthy diatribes about various things written down
that would be wife #2 with the spoken word crap. she used to hound al with her pretentious writing. a journalist friend
told me al tossed her “poetry” in the trash on a tour bus years ago because it was so bad.at least at that time his tastes were discriminating.
guess some groupies think they need to look smart and talented in some legit field. makes me laugh.these girls never learn.
ah yes, melvins tomorrow. something to really look forward to.
Well. Listen to “Dream Song”. That’s her.
He’s waaaay too strapped for cash to go into retirement.
Think about it - do you actually think he’s making money with 13th Planet?!? Revco, Ascension Of The Watchers, nu-Ministry, Prong…? Who the fuck cares? Running a label would cost a fair bit and NONE of those bands would come anywhere close to recouping the costs.
And…er…whatever happened to…um…SPYDERBABY?
