Yep, we have the Red Wings. I’m locked in for playoff tickets…all rounds. Game 1 is Wednesday night, I’m SO not looking forward to Asshole Red Wings Fan, but it’s a great match up, and I’m hoping we take care of business and bounce those guys. Gonna be an exciting NHL playoff season all around. I actually watched the Rangers-Flyers game today to see who would nab the last playoff spot. Exciting game (shootout win for the Flyers).

Canadiens made it in, but just barely. And now we’re playing Washington. Not putting much hope in this year…
I’ve been saying this for years, but the NHL playoffs are the best sporting event on the planet. No sport offersthe emotion swings that hockey can.
The NHL on NBC is far and away the best sports broadcast on the planet. And Versus hasn’t done bad themselves.
Now I just need to find time to kill until Wed.

What happened to the coyotes? I have been so outta the loop, about all I really know is it’s official that the Ducks didn’t make the playoffs and my boy Niedermayer may be leaving the ducks.

Great game, the Habs played on the Caps’ level all night, they certainly earned that W. The Canucks and Kings went to OT as well, with Vancouver pulling out the win. I’m going to Game 2 of the Yotes-Wings tonight. Let’s see how many fights break out in the stands this time. [:|]

Fucking Hawks blew it tonight against the Predators… they didn’t play like shit but the didn’t play very well either. And it’s sad cause they are obviously the better team.
The bad-luck Cubs were in attendance at the game tonight, I wonder if they jinxed them somehow… hmmm… [:/]
Game 3 was awesome (obviously 2 sucked!). Phoenix played their game, and didn’t get caught up in a goal fest with the Wings this time. It would be perfect to get the sweep in Detroit, so I could be there to watch us close them out on Friday night. I like our chances of winning this series, but I just know that Detroit’s gonna win at least one more. The playoffs are off to a great start, there’s no clear advantage for any team right now.

Did anyone see the Hawks/Predators game last afternoon? Afra?
Holy shit… it was 3-4 Predators then in the last 40 seconds Patrick Kane scores a goal to tie the shit up!!! Marion Hossa had gone to the penalty box a few minutes earlier and he was let out a couple of minutes into overtime and he scores in overtime like two minutes later!!! Dramatic to say the least!
Go Hawks!!! I’m cautiously optimistic but apparently the sports pundits and analysis guys have been saying the Hawks were a better team all along and shouldn’t be struggling so much with the Sexual Predators…
Even if they win this round that just means second round of the playoffs, but seriously I wish them best, as any Chicago sports fan would know every team has suffered their droughts and it would be kick ass as all hell to have the Stanley Cup in Chicago!

Yes. It was nuts. They’re nuts here regarding the Hawks. I was driving to the suburbs the other day (I live within the city but was visiting a friend) and on the way back I saw this huge billboard with “HAWKS WIN” on it. Never seen anything like that in any city. Absolutely nuts. Amazing how they have turned the team and the enthusiasm for it around.

Amazing win by the Canadiens, Halak was unconscious in net last night (53 saves). I’m looking forward to watching that one tomorrow night, it’s been a great series.
After work, I get to head out to Glendale for Game 7 of the Coyotes-Red Wings. It’s gonna be a crazy atmosphere tonight, I cannot freaking wait. This team needs so badly to get over the 1st round hump (it would be the first time they advance since 1987 in Winnipeg). The tension is killing me!
