Just got (almost) my entire Ministry collection back from a friend after months of separation. I’ve missed my babies.
Damn dude, MONTHS OF SEPERATION! I’d go crazy w/o my copy of Rape And Honey, you must have some good trusty friends. I’d never let anyone borrow my Ministry collection or any collection for that matter, I’d say something like “u want to borrow my cd? then u can listen to it right here on my stereo motherfucker”.

Very trustworthy friends, indeed. I’ve cut a bitch over my records. They know what it is.
damn, thats hardcore.
Dont fuck with the Iceman!
Friday, bored, don’t want to work right now.
Recent CD purchases being listened to with random, useless comments:
Bile - Hate Radio: Digging this, too bad there won’t be a tour. Did not like Bile when I first saw them, they have since grown on me.
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - Death Threat: Sounds good. Favorite track is Lone Road.
Black Flag - My War: One of those bands I never got around to though I know I’d probably dig their shit.
Subhumans - Internal Riot: Amazed that this album sounds good. These guys still got it.
Squarepusher - Go Plastic: Bleep, blop, boop. Not enough cowbell.
Squarepusher - Selection Sixteen: Boop, blop, bleep. More please.
Skinny Puppy - Remix Dystemper: Uh, how did this go unpurchased and unlistened for almost twenty years?
Crocodile Shop - Everything Is Dead And Gone: Haven’t listened to this one yet…hopefully it isn’t too different from the first album, dug that one.
Snog - The Last Days of Rome: Tell me about the end of the modern age, Mr. Thrussell. Don’t like the acoustic direction he is going, prefer the earlier recordings.
Combichrist - Today We Are All Demons: More angry 4/4 music.
Hanzel Und Gretyl - Scheissmessiah: Intrigued, found them to be goofy and silly looking (the whole German thing…comeon, you guys are from New York!) when they opened at a show a year or so back but the chugga chugga guitars and electronic work interested me. I actually like this album, didn’t think I would.
Nurse With Wound - The Memory Surface box set.
Faust - C’est…C’est…Complique.
the secret machines
Halo: “Massive Corporate Disease”/“Degree Zero Point of Implosion”
Godflesh: Streetcleaner"
Leaether Strip: “The Pleasure of Penetration”
Paradise Lost: “Gothic”

David Lynch went to the same Bob’s Big Boy restaurant everyday for seven years and ordered the same thing (two cheeseburgers, fries, apple pie, coffee and two large chocolate shakes) every single time.
is Lynch a big fat guy? that sounds like a lot of food!

Um…you don’t know what David Lynch looks like??

Nope. the only thing I’ve seen by him is lost highway and Eraserhead. never seen one episode of twin peaks don’t even know what the thing’s about I have a dvd of his shorts but I’ve yet to make it through the whole thing and I don’t think he ever shows up on camera he only narrates.
Late,
grmpysmrf
Grmpy, even my two mainstream-as-they-come sisters know David Lynch and know what he looks like. The fact that you don’t is just hellishly bizarre. Sorry. Don’t you watch any…I’m just…lost for words.
Man, you really did grow up in a hick town. Are you sure it wasn’t on Mars?
Anyway, am currently listening to Butthole Surfers Weird Revolution. And yes, it is every bit as terrible as I remembered it.
. never seen one episode of twin peaks
Buy the Twin Peaks boxset. It’s awesome…funny as hell too.
I LOVED the 2nd season too…lot’s of folk hated it because it got more and more bonkers…what the heck did you expect ya numpties…this is Lynch not fucking Ron Howard.
There’s two seasons Smurf…then to finish it is the prequel film “Fire Walk With Me”.
DAVID LYNCH
While Lynch is not my favorite director by far, he has a undeniable talent. The Elephant Man is a masterpiece, and Eraserhead is in a category all by itself.
This is a great book that turned me onto Lynch, Alejandro Jodorwosky, and John Waters in a big way. Indispensable for those who love weird cinema.
Right now I am on a Legendary Pink Dots kick, The Crushed Velvet Apocalypse, and The Maria Dimension.

The second season had way too many silly sub plots that tried to push some of the minor characters into major role players and ended up just being plain baffling. Lynch wasn’t present for most of the second series and it shows - with fill in directors doing their best to recreate ‘Lynchisms’ and failing miserably.
But the last episode (which Lynch did direct) was a head fuck and a half.

The prequel is TERRIBLE nonsense but does however have a stellar soundtrack.
The prequel ties up the loose ends…Laura Palmer is kick ass in it.

thanks toot I’ll give it a shot… Sorry Peligro but that pic toot posted is the first time I laid eyes on the guy…
hick town fo sho!

wasn’t there a book that came out called like “the secret diary of laura palmer”? that lynch’s daughter wrote or something?
Grmp not seeing David Lynch until now is even more strange than Pete Martell finding a fish in the perculator
in the new spin (withprince on the cover) they have an interview with dangermouse, lynch, and sparkehorse. apparently a book is coming out of lynch pictures and a blank cd, and it was supposed to include music to go along with the pictures by the 3 with a series of guest singers but label crap stopped the release of the cd, so they’re putting a blank cd in with a note not to use it to download the tracks online, or something… The books called “dark night of the soul”
Listening to :
The Cure - The Top
Amon Duul II - Phallus Dei
Tyrannosaurus Rex - Unicorn
