The only Devin Townsend I own is Deconstruction on cd.
Honestly couldn’t tell you when the last time I listened to it was though…
I remember the skullet well, haha.
And it’s funny you mentioned his work with Vai and how he was deranged kid. I didn’t even know that was where he started but this video popped up when I was plinking around and it kind of simultaneously cracked me up and disturbed me, hahaha.

Yeah Devin is definitely an odd bird…
Loved Devin Townsend’s “Deconstruction” album - it’s like a slightly less spastic SYL with more progressive elements in the mix. That one hit the mark for me, but most of the time I get exhausted just trying to get through an album of his. It’s just too much, too insisting, too spastic most of the time - SYL records included.
I think some folks on here might appreciate his Ocean Machine project …the guys stuff is definitely not for everyone…
B-52s Dance This Mess Around. I got to see them perform for the first time Saturday night in Chicago. They can entertain!
Boards of Canada - Trans Canada Highway
Omg ha ha ha. That weird as fuck!
The cover was pretty fantastic actually. I embarrassingly really only know Devin from his playing on Front Line Assembly so had very little expectations. Will listen to the rest of the album soon!
Faith No More - King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime
Bruce Springsteen - The River
I saw Troum play in a coffee shop at midnight in Berlin about 6 years ago. It was a trippy experience to say the least. Good coffee too!
Mindfunk-Dropped
I just recently started listening to some Roky Erickson.
Such a diverse and interesting artist/ catalog.
Roky does some amazing shit…

I like this album. I don’t go to listen to it very often, but every time I do, I find myself glad I did.
