Walk on water —ozzzy

Heh heh…he said ozzy.

I had to throw an extra z in their to make the 20 letter count.

I really wish Afra would disable the 20 letter count thing…

Noooooooooo doubt…

Yeah, agreed but probably in place because of spamming.

Tubeway Army

Fuck you, 20 letter count limit.

The two Tubeway Army albums are timeless and classic…

Has anyone heard the Gary Numan album released this year? Its called Intruder, if memory serves? I haven’t checked it out yet but I’m always interested in what he is doing…Aside from the latest album, I’ve heard his whole catalog with the exception of a couple of his 90s releases…just an incredibly creative and influential artist who never seems to get the full respect he deserves…

It’s good, typical 21st century Gary Numan. Industrial style. Not as memorable as Savage, which I thought was better.
I revisit the whole Numan catalog every once in awhile. He really went to shit for about 12 years there where he went straight into way too much jazz-funk influence (pro-tip - if you’re thinking of incorporating saxophone and fretless bass into your sound, don’t). But he got back in the game with Sacrifice in '94 and everything he’s done since then has ranged from brilliant to listenable, but it’s never actively sucked.

That first David Gilmour album is so good. Some really cool, spooky sounding stuff. None of his solo material has ever lived up to it.

Unless you count A Momentary Lapse of Reason, I guess…

I completely agree with that assessment. About Face has its moments but is not nearly as good as the first solo LP. I don’t really bother with the rest all that much.

This is one versatile hidden gem, virtually every style represented.
Definitely got under my radar.
Friday music is getting ready to release a remastered limited edition.
Totally on IT!

Thanks! Gonna check it out this weekend!

Update: I dig it. What I tried was just straight forward classic rock and roll.

Which album? I’m fond of Good News For People Who Love Bad News cause it has Bukowski on it. I was introduced to them from my wife. We’ve seen them twice in concert. They’re a fun band.

I’ve been jamming the new one, “The Golden Casket.” It’s really hooky.

lol re: Good News. Great album, and yeah, “Bukowski” is a killer track. “All that ice cream and all that cake / I can’t make it to your wedding but I’m sure I’ll be at your wake” – brilliant.

HE HE “Who would wanna be such an asshole?”

My wife bought the new one but we haven’t listened to it yet. I think we forgot about it. I know I did.
