I’ve been jamming a lotta sludgy drony doomy stuff cuz it’s apropos for this weird-ass winter, but I find myself really digging Crush 40 even though I’ve not played a Sonic game since like 1995.

Currently revisiting an old fave, 15 Degrees Below Zero. I ordered some stuff from their Bandcamp a few years back and just more or less discovered they slipped in a few random CD-Rs with some goodies in them. Very cool people, indeed.

It’s definitely listenable. There’s about 4-5 really solid tracks on it. but’s definitely not a guns record, It kinda reminds me of what I think a Linkin park album would sound like.

Linkin Park? Huh? Dude that is way off…

Based on the radio singles I’ve heard from Linkin Park it sounds like Chinese Democracy would sound like something I would hear on the album. I don’t hate it, Just doesn’t sound like guns…

Bathory-Under the Sign of the Black Mark
Napalm Death-Scum
The Cult-Electric

ahhhh, electric. great record. such a change from LOVE, but they pulled it off.

Yeah completely different from Love…Rubin produced such a dry as a bone record but it works…great music for driving like mad down a desert highway…

I love The Cult. I didn’t pay much attention after “Sonic Temple” but everything up to that, including the Southern Death Cult (my personal favorite) and Death Cult stuff was just sublime. Ian is such a great frontman with an amazing and very iconic voice.

My favorite song by the cult hands down is the acoustic version of Edie. So good!

There is another version of electric available, it’s called electric peace, cd, vinyl…peace is the version before rubin re recorded the whole album and called it electric.

I really like Beyond Good and Evil. Heavy for them.

Yeah I’ve got that one…

Beyond Good and Evil is sadly overlooked and underrated as hell

I’ve watched this one hundreds of times on “YouTube”.
Ian’s voice is just unlike anything. And I don’t know many people that could get away with dressing and dancing like that and actually making it look awesome!

Ahhh yeah the good old Southern Death Cult era…I love all eras of The Cult…yeah some albums are stronger than others but you really can’t go wrong with them…I’ve seen them countless times live and have always had a blast…just good rock n roll…and what a great name…whether it was Southern Death Cult, Death Cult or just The Cult…all three worked well…

Killing Joke - Pandemonium

This is now on Spotify. Must be the 2005 remaster, because it sounds different from the original issue CD I’ve got.

New albums of:
Tomahawk
Melvins
Nick Cave
Moonspell

Skynyrd, live at knebworth.
