What are you listening to right now?

I heard the new Chelsea a few days ago. It’s Chelsea, what can I say? Actually a little restrained for her, all things given.

Volbeat - Rewind Replay Rebound
Korn - The Nothing
Fleetwood Mac - everything
Prince - Emancipation

There’s a band called The HU (capitalization intentional) y’all might want to check out. It’s basically Mongolian metal. A lot of power chords, throat singing, and weird harp sounds. But it works! Album is called “The Gereg.”

YES!!! I stumbled across those guys a few weeks ago. I watched. I heard. I’m hooked.

Oh thank God, I thought I was their only fan
Also try Diablo Swing Orchestra (any album). They’re like a direct cross between Gogol Bordello, the Squirrel Nut Zipper, and Mr. Bungle.

The Hu is awesome, I didn’t know their full length was out when I made my post the other day.

I used to have one of their albums, the popular one (I guess). Saw em live in 94, everyone besides me was dressed up in period clothing and dancing fancy. They’re ok, I guess. Not really my type of music, tho.

hfs i was listening to that last night. amazing album. two bassists, what a concept.

Whoa dude,we are having Cop Shoot Cop synergy…

This happened to us before with Sheik Yerbouti. You’re my prongs soul-brother, I think.

Yeah I think its safe to assume we are prongs soul brothers…I think it also happened once way back with The Afghan Whigs also…might have been someone else though

Full of Hell - wow, these guys are great, just technically jaw-dropping death metal, if that’s your thing - I’d go so far as to say that if Napalm Death ever calls it quits, Full of Hell could easily take over their slot in the grindcore pantheon

The new ones from Moon Duo, Teagan & Sara, and Sturgill Simpson should be in my rotation later today.

Too bad that apart from the Radiation single they didn’t release anything officially.

I couldn’t get through Sturgill’s newest. It’s not bad, but it did nothing for me.

Be sure and let us know how the Moon Duo album is!

Moon Duo’s not bad - it’s getting harder for records to grab me right away anymore, though.

Now listening to the Abbey Road anniversary remix. 99% of the population won’t notice any difference between this and the old version.
