[reply]the melvins ft jim thirlwell - mine is no disgrace.
fucking epic masterpiece. i’m not really familiar with the melvins, but this definitely got me interested.
This song has various levels of win going for it. The Yes song it references is one of my favorites (even though this doesn’t have “flying purple wolfhounds”) and it’s rare to hear Jim accompanied by guitar and drum shenanigans. Melvins have become a favorite. You’d do well to check into them and even that CD “The Crybaby”. The songs with David Yow, Tool and Hank 3 are very good.[/reply]
there’s no guitar on this thing. john said he was trying to make a electronic pop record. i think some of you guys who enjoy ministry’s first record might like this thing.
Myrninerest - David Tibet’s new project. It’s mostly voice and acoustic guitar, so it sounds a lot like when he was working with Michael Cashmore in the '90s. It also continues Tibet’s recent tradition of releasing several different versions of each album that differ only slightly.
So far I like it bet than the last couple of Current 93 releases.

Almost thought I was listening to a Metallica B-side but looked up and found out they were one of the only two metal bands from Iraq. Pretty decent sounding.

Their story is really quite amazing and inspiring. There was a documentary done on them about 4 or 5 years back called “Heavy Metal in Baghdad” which I recommend to anyone, but especially metal fans.
I like :wumpscut: a lot, and I was bumping the Wreath of Barbs album about a zillion times over, when I noticed that the last track of that record was credited to a band called Kirlian Camera. I checked 'em out and DAMN.
