Max Payne 3 OST.
I don’t play video games but couldn’t resist HEALTH doing a full-on Carpenter inspired soundtrack. It’s quite god on first listen. Probably my favorite music by HEALTH.

Played the game. Loved the soundtrack. It fits. Been listening to a lot of pumpkins, Interpol, Tom Waits (Small Change), with some Leonard Cohen.
Freezing my ass off in New England, spinning Dead Can Dance.

It’s cold here in Melbourne at the moment. Perfect weather for isolating oneself from the outside world and listening to bleak music. Lately I’ve been “enjoying” :
Akitsa - La Grande Infamie
Khanate - Things Viral
Dragged Into Sunlight - A Hatred Of Mankind
Mainliner - Mellow Out
Swans - Soundtracks For The Blind
Thou - Peasant
Aelter - Aelter III
Detritivore - Pakt
Portal - Swarth
Bootlegged, Broke And In Solvent Seas - Skinny Puppy.
Fucking sick live material. If only Ministry had held up like Skinny Puppy has.
Testament - Live In London.
Bootlegged, Broke And In Solvent Seas - Skinny Puppy.
YES!
This and the new Fiona Apple. Both awesome.
Al
All of the Numb albums in order.
Comus - Out Of The Coma

Thought this was a HUGE let down. Their old stuff is legendary.
Nah, it fit perfectly with the old stuff. The girl sounds exactly the same 30 years later. I liked it all except the weird Muppet voice he uses in the first song.
One of the dudes from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry just put up Peel sessions of “Monkeys on Juice” and “Strange Dream.”
I’m gay for RLYL.

This song has various levels of win going for it. The Yes song it references is one of my favorites (even though this doesn’t have “flying purple wolfhounds”) and it’s rare to hear Jim accompanied by guitar and drum shenanigans. Melvins have become a favorite. You’d do well to check into them and even that CD “The Crybaby”. The songs with David Yow, Tool and Hank 3 are very good.
