The glorious recording I got of Dixon’s Violin at Interfuse this past weekend (regional Burning Man event).
It’s SOOOOO FUCKING GOOD.

Over Your Dead Body by MISTER MONSTER, and while i do some editing, i think i will be throwing on some Social Distortion… just not sure which albums yet.
In the process of re-ripping most of my collection to my new PC. I’m rediscovering old favorites and listening to stuff I had snagged but never got around to listening.
And fuck me if En Esch’s Cheesy isn’t still the greatest album ever made.
The new Spiritualized album, which is fucking mind blowing.
Tons of:
The Jesus And Mary Chain
The Human League
New Order

Still sounds fresh after all these years too…
Right now I’m listening to Lava from the Sphinctour.
Apparently Gary Call, the vocalist of USSA, laid down vox for a pretty “meh” trance song.
Over the past 24 hours or so:
Daniel Menche - Beautiful Blood
Iannis Xenakis - Electronic Music
Aethenor - Faking Gold And Murder
Consumer Electronics - Nobody’s Ugly
Dead C - Trapdoor Fucking Exit
MB - Regel
Shackleton’s “Music For The Quiet Hour/Drawbar Organ EPs”
This thing kicks ass.
A friend sent me that Shackleton release.
Reminded me of The Knife’s “Tomorrow In A Year”.

Really??? I don’t hear that personally…The Knife aren’t as stripped back in sound and they don’t have that cavenous bass and dark spooky atmosphere that Shackleton has. The two make very different music imo…the only thing similar I can see would be percussion and electronic music being tools.
The Drawbar Organ EPs are where it’s at for me…Music For The Quiet Hour is pretty awesome but you have to be pretty commited to get through it on numerous spins.
Not The Knife in general, Tomorrow In A Year specifically. It’s an experimental opera about Darwin.
The Cult - “Choice of Weapon”
Slash- apocalyptic love cd

I’m gay for the Lorries again. Listening to pretty much everything of theirs. “Chance” is a big favorite right now.
Talk About the Weather is the greatest fucking record and I’m a better man for owning a copy, especially with the fat selection of the pre-album singles on there.
Waiting on a copy of 15 Degrees Below Zero’s Morphine Dawn EP. Really dig these guys. Like… Greymachine with Steve Roach at the mixer, hahah.
15DBZ has a really cool “side project” as it were. One of the guys has a solo thing going on. Check 'em out if you dig the whole ambient/drony thing.
I’m gonna be heading up North for a couple months pretty soon. Depending on how temperamental my laptop’s gonna be, and if I even got 'net up there, I might be more sporadic than usual. We’ll see whassup, but if not, just a heads-up.

Wonderful. One of the best drone albums I’ve ever heard.
Lots of Barker shhtuffs!
Lead Into Gold
Flowering Blight
