What are you listening to right now?

the last time i saw them was about a year ago (the first time nearly 20 years ago…), but i hadn’t been into them for a few years, really. i was hoping for a few songs to be played, random b-sides and such, and amazingly they played them all within the first 20 minutes. was a really great gig, they never fail to deliver.

TV on the Radio
Billie Holliday
Mark Lanegan
Bahaus
Pedro Moorphee

I just scored a PHATT 12" slab of AC/DC wax …Back In Black on Side-A and Hells Bells on Side-B. We’re partying tonight!!

More heather nova including the new 300 days at sea. Also mumford and sons, sigh no more. They sound like a cross between modest mouse and Dave Mathews band

I really dig this album also!

Mike Patton - A Perfect Place.

Moby - Move

Cool album art! I hate about 99% of album covers nowadays (most look like the T-shirt designers from Affliction took an hour or two on their PC to photoshop up something).

But that one looks really cool. I’m not much into electronic stuff, but I’ll probably just give it a listen out of curiosity.

One of the more lively tracks. The whole thing is great for chilling and driving.

Million new posts. Fuck me.

Busy with school and sickness, what else is new, but I’ve gotten a GRIP of new stuff lately.

Veil of Maya - Eclipse (best record of the year, doesn’t matter what’s happening later, GODDAMN THIS BAND)
South Central Cartel - N Gatz We Truss
Pain - You Only Live Twice
15 Degrees Below Zero - Under a Morphine Sky
Vverevvolf Grehv - Zombie Aesthetics
Antidote - Fight or Flight (picked this one up because of the goofy-ass cover art, turned out to be really cool trip-hop stuff along the lines of Pigface’s Below the Belt record… then reading the booklet, found out that it’s some kind of Christian electronica act, like REALLY Christian, and I don’t know what to feel about it. Fuck.)
Jesus and Mary Chain - Honey’s Dead; Stoned & Dethroned
242 - A physical copy of Up Evil
Frontline Assembly - The Initial Command
High Confessions

And I’ve got a reissue of Razed in Black’s first album coming in soon. I am literally gay for RiB, and I don’t know why. I’m not nearly all over ‘90s goth/industrial as I used to be, but RiB is one of my favorite bands ever. I fuckin’ suck at this whole music thing.

Double-post, but I got ballsy and put up the first track of the record I never shut up about: Eric Pounder of Lab Report’s solo record. (On that not, can anyone point me toward where to start with those guys? It’d be appreciated!)

Cheers.

Okkervil River - The Stand Ins

Lab Report? I’d go with Unhealthy or Terminal.

Good to see ya, pick.

Christian Death - Only Theater of Pain

Weird to think I’m older now than Rozz Williams was when he died.

PailHead- No Bunny

fucking time warp!

Lots of Puscifer and SWANS.

Ulver - Perdition City
Napalm Death - Utilitarian
Download - The Eyes Of Stanley Pain
Agalloch - Marrow Of The Spirit
John Zorn - Filmworks XXI

Noted. Thanks.

This reissue of Shrieks, Laments and Anguished Cries pisses me off. It’s Cleo, yeah, I know… but hear me out. The record rules, and the bonus material is pretty killer, but for some reason, two of the tracks have inexplicably shitty, brickwall mastering, and they happen to be two of the better tracks on the disc. I’ve scanned reviews all over the 'net for similar complaints and I’ve got nothing.

Fuck. Guess I gotta track down the OG.
