Well, as everyone now knows, Wax Trax! is throwing a party here in Chicago at the Metro.
The lineup for includes Front 242, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult and Rights of the Accused. En Esch, Guenter Schulz and Raymond Watts will focus on the music of KMFDM.
Luc Van Acker, Chris Connelly, former Ministry member Paul Barker and guests will perform the music of the Revolting Cocks.
I will obviously be there and if anyone else is going, please post here. Would be cool to meet up with fellow Prongers…
I’ll be there. Planning to fly in on the 14th, possibly with a couple of friends. Gonna check out FIX that night, then do the Wax Trax thing, and fly home on Sunday. It would be great to meet you in person!
Yes well do keep in touch regarding this. Would be great to all meet up. I would offer some space as I live a mile away from Metro but I will be hosting Barker himself but I will keep people informed of space here. However, perhaps a pre-game at my place before the shows?
Yeah, I’m jumping on tickets as soon as they go on sale. I don’t know how many people The Metro holds, but if the early hype is any indication, I’m worried about it selling out. This event is gaining serious momentum for only being announced two days ago.
Wow I’m so envious of you folks living across the pond, getting to see all these 'ol skool Wax Trax greats in action. AWESOME.
If it’s not too much trouble, I hope someone here can send my regards to the artiste (especially to Chris!) on behalf of the Wax Trax fans living in the far east.
Their music was like solace for us living in an overbearing & conservative environment wayback in the late 80’s/90’s. misty eyed
I’m curious if Chris, Paul, and Luc were approached about performing any of their solo material. Some Lead Into Gold would be ideal. Does he even own any of the old gear/disks/tapes that he produced that material on?
It’s official, just bought two passes. Time for the expensive part - travel arrangements…guh! I would definitely like to meet up with the Prongers that weekend.
As the old saying goes: “See you guys on April 15 & 16 at the Wax Trax! Records Retrospectacle: 33 1/3 Year Anniversary in Chicago. I’m looking forward to it.”
