I just posted the first link on Facebook. It didn’t block shit.

It made the front page of the Daily News today. Or was it yesterday?

Who knows. From the article, it could’ve gone either way. A bunch of hipsters rallying against the government probably didn’t file for rally permits (which the article mentioned), or someone took a swing or two. Bound to happen from a crowd of at least one hundred - it’s called odds.

The NYPD is corrupt, though, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. In fact, it was that seediness, and the 1970’s look of NY in the films I saw growing up, why I moved here in the first place.

Searching the Google news links, looks like it’s getting lots of local NYC coverage but not much elsewhere.

the fact that you have to APPLY for a permit to protest is fucking ridiculous. all of the important revolutions/protests happened spontaneously.

and why would you call them hipsters?

These protests didn’t make the news because the protestors were all pussies. At least the knackers in London were able to make the news.

It’s making the news now.

It’s not really news. That’s why it’s not in the news.

There’s protests here all the time. And most of the time, the dummies in the protest don’t even know what they’re protesting half the time.

Just a bunch of kids who had absolutely nothing better to do on the weekend.

It is spreading.
On Saturday, I saw them outside the downtown BoA office.

What kinda #'s we talking about here? couple idealist college kids trying to get into the paper, or a full on mob protest?

I’m not exactly sure.

It looked to be about 20 or so people with signs when I went past at ~1:00. The Hard Rock’s 40th anniversary party was on Saturday and they threw a huge multi-stage bash in the area across the street from the bank starting at 3:00 pm.

they took over the Brooklyn Bridge yesterday. something like 700 were arrested, including video of a 13 year old girl being arrested. the people seemed harmless.

Welcome to Obama’s America!

Forget Wall Street protests, things just turned up a fucking notch in Egypt:

you know the heats on when spicoli shows up!

I think the best part is that Spicoli actually thought he WAS at the Wall St. Protests.

"I just couldn’t make it . . . "

Bono and Sean Penn should get married and have kids together.

Then we’d all be safe.

They’d set things straight.
