New album, GOLGOTHA, comes out October 2nd.
W.A.S.P. RULES!
Their new stuff continues to be as good as the old.
I’ve yet to see them live, so hopefully they’ll make their way back through Los Angeles soon.

I saw WASP open for someone back in the 80s and I can’t for the life of me remember who it was…god damn senility kicking in…
it might of been Kiss on one of their gay ass mid 80s tours without the make-up…

Well at least you can say that you saw a Knights / Kids In Satan’s Service and We Are Satan’s People package tour!

It’s rare that you get that much Satan for your concert dollar outside of a legitimate black metal show. Cherish the moment!
That is a lot of damn Satan on one bill.
Only thing more Satanic would be if Anti-Christ / Devil-Child (aka AC/DC) was the headliner.

You get more Satan outside of a Marilyn Manson concert…
By the way I thought it was We’re All Sexual Perverts…
White Anglo Saxon Protestants.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I feel a new thread coming…

Blackie’s come full circle.

Wow, hadn’t heard that one! I went to a conservative, private, religious elementary school. They told us it meant “After Christ, Devil Comes.” Which of course is the name of my AC/DC iTunes playlist.

I always liked Kids (or Knights) In Satan’s Service for KISS.
Who came up with this stuff? It’s like the sort of thing a 10 year old comes up with and then adult preachers took it seriously.

I always thought the TV preachers did.
Getting in the WAYBAC machine to 1985… I saw WASP, Armored Saint, and Metallica at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. Great place to see a show. WASP was the headliner but I really wanted to see Armored Saint and Metallica. Metallica opened the show but owned the night. By far the best band on stage. Armored Saint was up next and were really good but definitely second to Metallica. WASP was kinda meh compared to Armored Saint and completely blown off the stage compared to Metallica.
Wow! That’s a great bill!

Indeed. When I made this joke, I had no idea that [url http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/how-blackie-lawlesss-faith-affected-making-of-w-a-s-p-s-new-album-golgotha/]he’s a born again Christian now. Wow.
What is it with these old guys?

They start to feel guilty about the privileged life theyd lead
Blackie’s been openly Christian for probably about 10 years now.
They’ve been putting out amazing stuff though.
Dominator, Babylon, and a few others that had gone out of print and were selling at rapey prices on EBay have also been reissued and are now about $10 a piece.
So “Fuck Like A Beast” is now more like “Pray Like A Priest”?
Like Prince, does he not play his “dirty” songs in concert?

If he was being authentic to the priesthood it’d probably be “Fuck Like A Priest”. Prince should play those songs in concert, it’d be fun to hear something like tv versions of the dirty ones. “You sexy melon-farmer!”
Prince’ sets will always suffer with the exclusion of Darling Nikki…
