After a fairly exhaustive search, I’ve realised…not a whole lot to be honest. Seems like 2013 is set to be a pretty ho hum year by the looks of things.
The best I could muster up (and many of these are purely speculative…such is the nature of the interwebs…) is this:
Flaming Lips – The Terror
Autechre – Exai
My Bloody Valentine – TBA
Yo La Tengo – Fade
Black Sabbath – TBA
Grouper – The Man Who Died In His Boat
Melvins – TBA
Prurient – Through The Window
Anticipated:
(artists I hope will drop a bomb of some sort this year…but probably won’t…)
I can’t wait for the new Tomahawk record
which is slated for the end of January (29th?)
Tomahawk = (Mike Patton + Duane Denison + Jon Stanier + Trevor Dunn)
Not sure if anyone really gives a shit about this. But they’re playing in L.A.
on Feb 17th + 19th.

I beg to differ…

You sure about PS4 deal?
I know that the next gen of consoles are already in development, but I doubt they’d get a 2013 release.

Nah, I’m just going off the timeline website that Peligro posted a few years back. Just rattlin’ his chain. [;)]
it’s a fun website, you could easily kill an hour or two looking at all this shit
Yah I know, I was expressing my excitement. It will kill the movies when it comes out (though it will probably get delayed till 2014 or some shit)
I think Tom Hardy should do a good job. I think I read before that the tail will be pretty hot in it too. Though I hope it keeps it’s balls. The first 2 Mad Maxs were tough as nails
Yeah, I’m skeptical about the 2013 release too. It’ll likely be '14 in all reality.
Based entirely on some photos from location released which showed the modified vehicles, I think it is going to be AWESOME. Also, Charlize Theron is apparently going to be in some Tina-Turner-type role so big props for that.
In truth I would expect this new movie to be more along the lines of Thunderdome in that it is going for visuals and props and attitude. I don’t think they’ll have too much of the hokey kid stuff, though.
I am a huge fan of ALL the Mad Max movies and have been jonesing for almost 30 years now, so it would be hard to make a movie that doesn’t get me excited at this point. I have my own hopes and desires for what I think it SHOULD be, and I have a feeling that they will come through on at least a good measure of that.
I’ve even written hypothetical cameos for them to use Mel Gibson in.
There’s others too, but I don’t feel like sifting through all the garbage. But, this was really all I needed to see to secure my spot in front of the line for wherever the very first midnight IMAX showing of this ends up being . . . .

Sweet! They replaced Rutmanis with Dunn? I’d buy that for a dollar! Didn’t care too much for Anonymous, but the first two were amazing, especially Mit Gas. Holy shit.
