In Atkins’ case “free” involves a small surcharge and handling fee.

icy - forgive me i want to take this one please…

BA-ZING!!!

You are forgiven. Damn it if you didn’t beat me to it, though.

In all seriousness, sure. I love Paul Barker with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns. If he were to give me a gun and tell me to shoot some random passer-by, I would do so without hesitation. But dammit if making fun of sycophants, and myself, isn’t fun once in a while.

I think the rev said something along the lines of “You guys need to stop slobbering over Paul’s dick.” True? Possibly. Funny? YES. Will I? NEVER.

For the record, I love the new RevCo. However, the fact that it spectacularly failed given all the promotion and hype does amuse the hell outta me.

By doing this I can assure you Chris is not going to send you any free signed cd’s or books.
Really? I get free shit from Chris all the time, and signed by Chris too, I don’t even have to ask Chris, Chris just sends it so I end with little surprises on my doorstep!!! As a matter of fact Chris insists that I call him Chris! we are on a first name basis, Chris and I!! wassup Chris? How you liking this thread ese?

I’m talking about Chris Connelly not Chris De Burgh.

well: I don’t have anything to send you for free, sorry! but, having said that, I don’t ask for anything either, if a friend releases a record, I’ll always buy it, and -ever since my dealings with a certain English drummer- I finance all my own recordings, just like you all probably do, why? because I like making records, it’s fun, it’s why I started in the first place.

My point about the 800 unit mega-shift-although I was completely obtuse-was that J. has gone out of his way to talk about how this is “the best record he evr made…blah blah” which is, in of itself, a commendable thing to say about your current work-you are moving forwards, not backwards, but, I will never, never be reconciled with the things he said about my close friend & mentor Paul Barker, I saw from a distance, Paul hold this man up for years, bail him out, make excuses for him, and tidy up all his messes, J. of course has denied all of this and will always be that way, and until he accepts some responsibility in his life and maybe admits some culpability in his own demise and not blame the ones around him that once loved and respected him, I am personally DELIGHTED for him to fail.

[replyI will never, never be reconciled with the things he said about my close friend & mentor Paul Barker.[/reply]

Just to be nosey what did he say?

Also fill us in on why that trial went down etc…

Maybe time will heal all wounds with Al and Paul. Who knows. They made the best music together. After Paul left Al I liked HOTM but thought it should have ended right then and there.

I wanted to see an actual revolting cocks tour for sexo but I have no desire to see that revamp thing. Just doesn’t spark my interest.

So, what you are saying is Al is kind of like Obama and you are kind of like Rush Limbaugh? [:)] I kid!

That is the single best analogy that’s come out of this board.

So I got off my ass and picked up the only copy of Sexo at my local Hastings, and while I enjoy the whole package, there’s one more thing about this fiasco I need to make fun of.

On the back cover:

“LUDE FERIGNO”

Me Too!

well: I don’t have anything to send you for free, sorry!

Yeah, sorry 'bout that Chris, I didn’t mean to blab…

To all of those that read my last post in this thread: I just wanted to let you know I was just kidding about Chris sending me free autographed stuff… He doesn’t really!

There we go Chris, catastrophe averted, It’s back on the down low again…

At the risk of sounding trite, this is the same as any other addict’s destruction of their personal relationships. Only the names have been changed.

Since we are talking numbers in this thread, some of you may be interested to know that in the last 36 days, ~378 direct merch orders have been placed.

Are you calling Chris an addict?

I remember this really cool dude that wrote a poem… I don’t remember all of it, but one of the verses said “SO WHAT!?”

And you consider yourself a fan.

Last time I checked, 800 > 378.

And you consider yourself a fan.

I guess my sarcasm didn’t transfer well

Last time I checked, 800 > 378.

I thought you were adding the 378 on top of the 800…

Nah, I was being sarcastic right back at ya.

It could be 800 + 378 = 1178. It just depends on what the 800 units includes/excludes.

Assuming that most of the 378 units were sold in the first week, maybe it is 800 - 378 = 422 units sold in stores and through i-tunes.

i don’t kiss ass ever.
chris connelly is my friend . and he’s probably got the barker thing right. right?
thanks for saying something that needed to be said. stinkin’ scotsman…learn the language and you take over.( christ. give me strength.)

i don’t kiss ass ever.

Oh I wasn’t talking about you. I take it you think you were ass kissing and was called out on it?

I’m an auld reekie.

I noticed that too.
An extra 8 months to get the artwork right, who knows how many potential sales lost, and it STILL has a spelling error? If I didn’t know better, I’d say that the Jourgensens don’t really know what they’re doing with this whole record label thing.

OMG IT’S CHRIS

If I didn’t know better, I’d say that the Jourgensens don’t really know what they’re doing with this whole record label thing.

Er…you just figured that out then?

How the fuck does that label survive? By milking every last cent out of the name ‘Ministry’?? By vainly attempting to squeeze cash out of his ex business partner? By spending as little as humanly possible on the end product and hoping to god that past glories - remembered now by very few and cared about by even less - are going to save the day.

Everything this guy now touches turns to shit - Spyderbaby, Ascension Of The Watchers, Prong, Revco… You can’t tell me 13th Planet actually turns a profit? Why isn’t he out there scouting for new talent?

At least Paul Barker now has a day job.

heh, al bought a new studio recently. or at least he said so in an interview.

although i too have been wondering how their label is still up.
